Any idea on the overall weight of the tube structure ?

You have what is called "rod end in bending" or REIB on your wishbone on the upright end, which is not preffered. But i get that it makes it alot easier fabricating... something to be aware of nonetheless.

When are you going to do the great American road trip and take it on the Hot Rod Power Tour, or even Drag Week?

If I had a Lamborghini v10, I’d have have no idea what I’d swap it into. Perhaps a 1940 Ford or an old sports car, like an Austin Healey.

14:54, I am no engineer but just a thought. Cant you put the adjustment on the mounting piece that connects to the hub/spindle instead of to the chassi? Would make more room for mounting than having to cram in a nut :)

on the joint brackets maybe do similar desing but use steel plate and weld. i think that steel on that part would be best option for strenght and weight ratio with lots of room for it to move
@anomamos90957 күн бұрын
14:38 using those rod ends is unnecessary and somewhat wrong in that location and for that application. The range of movement they’re capable of is not required. Have a look through race and rally and drifting suspension component catalogs for a much more suitable and stronger alternative.

Peter love the videos 🙂for the straight rods like toe link rod why not use aluminum you will save a lot of weight and you can even buy pre made from 8 inch to 26 inch with right and left threads

If the base for this build is from your previously stolen Audi R8 will the car be able to get registered in Sweden since the engine with existing serial number etc is still reported av stolen goods? Love this build though so awesome 😊👍🏻

Tänker på dina nedra..och tja senare dom övre A länkarna... borde man inte ha gänghylsorna sas paralella sedan svetsa till a länken. annars blir det olika bredd på basen när man justerar in eller ut lederna?? obs inte kritik...
@PeterBjorck8 күн бұрын

You could use a counter sunk head cap screw for your suspension point pickups for extra clearence
@karvavarba27008 күн бұрын
As an automotive engineering student from Finland, seeing these suspension setups and wheel angle adjustment setups etc. it just makes me think that have you considered, calculated or researched stuff about suspension geometry or bumpsteer stuff or any material strenght or flexibility aspects? Doing custom parts and setups is just so much different from using already engineered assemblies or parts. Just hoping u wont miss something detrimental! Love your vids and youre a huge motivation to me personally since im a depressed kiddo with big dreams :D
@PeterBjorck8 күн бұрын
Now the geometry is almost like stock Audi/Lambo. Yes it would be beneficial to do some reasearsh and calculations. But then the car would not be ready to drive this year. So i thing there will be improvements in future.
