Dude Canola oil must have been a typo in your transcript lol. That is full of bad omega 6 which we get too much of in our western diet. Best fish oil I’ve found period is Ethical nutrients high strength omega 3 liquid. 4.5 g of omega 3 per 5 ml teaspoon. 3 grams of dha and EPA per teaspoon

I gained 8 pounds in 2 days after stopping keto… why is this happening? I only ate some bread and rice…. Is this all glycogen and water weight???

I make my own variation with magnesium added. Magnesium is another essential for an electrolyte mix. My simple mix: 1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar 1/2 teaspoon Magnesium Chloride 14 teaspoon table salt or Celtic Salt.

I find that eating too much protein makes me gain weight, even if my carbs are 20 total per day. I got down to under 90 lbs with keto in 2022, then went carnivore for several months. I gained 10 lbs, so went back to keto. Then in October 2023 I went off keto due to stress and comfort eating. Now I'm back where I started from and have 21 lbs to lose. How do I figure out how much protein to eat? On keto I definitely rely on meat and protein rich foods, and now I'm eating between 20 and 30 grams of carbs per day but am not losing weight, can't get into ketosis. It all worked so perfectly for me in 2022, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong now. My goal weight is 90 lbs (I'm very short, petite and small boned) which is my perfect healthy weight, but I think excessive protein is hurting me. I'm sorry for such a long, rambling question. Any advice? Thanks in advance and thank you for your informative videos. I also follow Dr. Eric Westman who also recommends 20 grams per day of carbs.

Dr Eric Westman says NO on using MCT oils on keto He says you don’t need it. Cook with coconut oil from time to time but don’t take MCT oil as a supplement or put into coffee ☕️

Thanks Mark! I have definitely experienced a roller coaster of up and down with my energy when I carb cycle. Unfortunately we are all incredibly different even if our body no longer craves carbs our mental programming needs to be shifted. This is what I’m working on. I could probably do one day on the weekend say Saturday but Sunday I would need to jump straight back in with no carbs and I would do intermittent fasting not eat anything until 2-3pm on the Sunday

Took me 3 and i would walk and. Fast for 5 days 3 days 4 days then. Right now i started fasting water only. Before i knew it scared the hell out of me. Head hurt, dizzy, lathargic like i want to pass out. Tf

I'm on my second day, doing 900 calories per day, and pure Keto. My normal exercise for the past 4 years is 30 min. on my eliptical, and gentle Yoga each morning. I have always tracked every bite. This doesn't make sense to me, tho' I'm had little sleep the past 2 days. My goal is to lose 15 lbs. I guess I'm in transition, but dont want to keep gaining weight for a week or two. I will keep going, tho'.

I have put together a similar formula, and see if anyone would like to comment or make a suggestion. Use 1/4 tsp. of NoSalt brand, which has 640mg of potassium, then 1/4 tsp. Real Salt brand of sea salt, which has 530mg of sodium, put in 8 oz. of filtered water and drink it. Then I take two capsules of Magnesium Glycinate, which has 175mg of magnesium. Together this is a single serving, which I take in the morning.

Every morning I drink a glass of water with cream of tartar, sea sale, apple cider vinegar and lemon. It's actually very tasty and keeps my electrolytes at healthy levels.

I use the lite salt and lemon BUT i add ĺ10 to 15 drops of liquid magnesium from ancient lakes magnesium W.A. ticks all the boxes then for a full mineral spectrum.

Yes, Lite Salt, by Morton, is available in the USA. I add a little Pomegranate powder, powdered lemon, or a crushed fruit flavored Tums, for flavor. Pomegranate powder has more carbs. With these powdered ingredients I can put them in a ziplock bag and take them to a restaurant, or when camping and hiking.

I have one cheat day (pizza, icecream or pastry), no alcohol. No binge eating. I don’t get the keto flu when I return to 6 days of KETO each week. I also go to the gym and lift weights 6x/week.

Before Keto, I had never eaten an avocado. (They are high in magnesium, therefore great for relieving constipation). When I DID try one, I wasn’t favorably impressed with the taste. Then I found a very nice drink with blueberries and avocados on Dr. Berg’s channel. Very nice! Taste is very pleasing! Highly recommend!

If you over hydrate with water, you will dilute your electrolytes. I put electrolytes into that water in the correct ratio to the water.
