I completed this build on my RS5 before you released this video. I did mine exactly the same as yours, so I was relieved to see that I did it right. You also answered any questions I had concerning the build. Thanks Jeff, for getting this out so quickly! This really really helps me and the rest of us out here. I was supper impressed with the quality of this heli. I haven't flown mine yet, but it looks like it flies as good as it's engineered. If it's ok with you, I will link to these videos on my channel? You're awesome Jeff, and thanks again.

It’s more than a hobby it’s a passion and makes amazing memories and time together! Helicopters are hard and can take some time to learn but worth every second. I would look into the a spektrum NX8. Not over broad but a radio that will grow with you and fly anything. Gives you 8ch to do things like auto level, mixing and more. Spektrum is the easiest radio to setup and use with out going all out and spending a ton of money right now.

I only put a few flights on it, and it's still in perfect shape. It has that Grayson Hobby setup that was popular for speed way back. I LOVE the Green! Something I forgot. Best practice: Better to use a toothpick (or other) to place loctite inside a threaded hole (especially on blade grips) instead of on the screw's threads. That way excess is kept internal and not allowed to hinder movement of the associated parts.

The funjet is a great airframe and been around along time. This one has been highly modified with a lot of different things done to it to achieve the speed and handle it. You can get 170 mph with a very cheap set up and stock air frame. I do recommend going to solid Elevons or reinforcing them. So I don’t normally recommend power set ups lol because especially at this power level, every run is a risk of burning something up. Of course I take that risk trying to push the envelope and go faster and faster. But any 36 mm motor 1900 KV on 6s is a good 170mph plus setup.

Thank you! I appreciate it, yes! Slowing it down from 300 mph is a pain lol biggest issue is it’s heavy! As long as your flat and level, it will glide pretty good but the minute you tried rocking it up one way or the other like in a turn, it falls like a brick. Normally I use the motor to slow it down. At an Idle The drag of the prop slows it down tremendously, but the last landing was complete Dead stick so I didn’t have that option. lol
