@@bettyhatheway-rausch9317 Thank you Betty...I took the route of caution and turned around rather than have one of them run into the Drone and take out one of its 4 propellers which would have crashed it.. We actually shot this show for the sycamore whinery. Awesome job on filming it! Did you capture the entire show? It was roughly 27 minutes. I'd love to see it if so. Thank you for sharing!
@OldBonesDronePilot5 күн бұрын
Thank you very much. No this was all that I filmed of it. I only have a Mini 4K drone and only one battery, so I cannot get much before I start to get a warning of low battery. I did not get there until around 9:45 pm and as you know, there were a gazillion people there, so I ended up parking offsite from the entrance down the road away from the no parking signs they had across from the main entrance and I launched the drone straight up so I would not be flying over any people or their vehicles and I used my 3 X zoom to capture what I did. Unfortunately I was contacted by the Winery and they were not happy that I was there using the drone. I had posted it in a comment on their website, but I deleted it and removed any information I had about the winery off of my footage. I only have had my drone for less than a month, and I have my TRUST certificate, but not my 107 certification, so I am only a recreational flyer, but I know the rules not to fly over people and to keep the drone in my line of sight which I did by having Anti-Collision lights on it. I assured the owners that I would not return there in the future. I'm sure whatever you filmed was far superior to anything I did with mine.
@donnielark63692 күн бұрын
@OldBonesDronePilot sorry to hear that. I know they do hire their own people to fly drones to capture footage. I'm sure you could come back in the future but just ask to fly. The owners and staff really are fantastic people, and it's a wonderful place. I Hope you get to see next year's show or another one of our shows sometime. Keep up the good work.

@@donnielark6369 Thank you, I wish I could have seen the footage you were able to get of it as I'm sure it was outstanding. I'm still learning all of this myself. I honestly did not think I would need their permission as their property isn't designated as a No Fly Zone by the FAA even though they may be a commercial entity, and there were many people obviously filming from ground level, so any footage would not be considered copyrighted. But it's all good, and with so many other places that are welcoming, I doubt I will ever return there again. I tried to explain to them that I was only trying to compliment what a great show they had put on for everyone and had added their website information for others to click on which would only have helped advertise their business.( which I have now deleted ). I just wish they would have put a notice of "No Drones Allowed" on the posts they put out everywhere that advertised of the free event they were going to be having for everyone. You take care! Thank you for replying back, wishing the best to you and yours! ❤️

Excellent color capabilities with the Mini 4K! Good choice of subjects, too. Covered bridges are appealing to lots of people. Small, slow cinematic moves look good, as well. Music fits well, too. Going to send you a message via Facebook later this evening. Keep cool!
@OldBonesDronePilot5 күн бұрын
Thank you very much. The video is definitely too long! And the music choice was questionable, as my wife did not like it, saying it was more of a love song than anything that was related to a covered bridge. I started out with 31 minutes of footage and edited it down to the 9 minutes. I just didn't want to chop it up even more and I felt like it was important to add the slow walk across the inside of the bridge, ect. It's been a big learning curve in this soon be one month (11th) that I even got the Drone, then this Y.T. channel, editing, etc. And trying to get use to flying lower and closer to in this case the waterfall or even over water still makes me very nervous. But I appreciate your kind words. I was just telling my wife, hearing these positive thoughts from in my opinion an expert at doing this certainly makes me feel good! Thank you so much! ❤️

It's not a failure at all. You're getting out there and doing things. Those who sit back might be critical, but let them. You're the one making attempts to improve your skills, so keep on learning and flying. Drone photography involves a combination of two skill sets: flying and photography. You mentioned ISO. For night photography, you'll want to increase your ISO. Since these are fireworks and not the moon at night, your shutter speed will also need to be considered. Proximity to the subject is something else to consider. Don't consider your first attempt a failure. If learning took place, it was absolutely a win!
@OldBonesDronePilot7 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the confidence booster! I'm definitely my own worst critic! I think this Fireworks video turned out better than the previous one. My ISO was set at 3200 on the previous one and I tried setting it at 1600 on this one, The shutter speed ranges from 1/20 all the way to 1/4000..so nooooooo idea which one to pick. I tried the 1/60 on this video. I am just having a blast with doing this and learning more with each mistake. But when I watch the videos you have on your channel, you certainly have this all figured out as they are amazing from start to finish! ❤️
