I need a cswp voucher. After much preparation i failed seg1&2 😢😢😢 Exchange rates of US dollar to Nigerian Naira is x 3 😢😢 I can't afford to dump over 12 months of preparation and i can't afford to pay another money at the moment
@DWorkshop14 күн бұрын
I'm really sorry you failed, did you take a note of your weak areas to improve? Also you have a waiting period, you cannot try for some time. I would also advise you to check my CSWP preparation videos. As for the vouchers, sometimes in SWUG they give vouchers to some users, there are occasions that SolidWorks also releases free vouchers for certain exams, just monitor SW socila media and good luck next time.

Which SOLIDWORKS you have as package Standard, Professional or Premium? ScanTo3D is not available in Standard. If you have the one of other two and still cannot see the correct import option after following all the steps in the video, probably it is a bug and I cannot help, you'll need the support for that.

@@DWorkshop Ok with a regular surface such as a sphere is fine, but on irregular objects such as statues, masks, vases, car or motorcycle models, and similar how do you proceed? I tried with stl files of masks but I couldn't transform them in the right way. Is it possible with such objects? Would that be an idea for the next video?

Version 2024 is the one used in the video. However if it's not allowing you to make the cut you probably have a 0 thickness forming somewhre, try to move the outer line further away. Other reason is your draft angle is too big or cut too shallow, try to change these values.

Hi, the facet reduction numbers you inputted, how did you come about that? can I use the same values for all graphic models?
@DWorkshop4 ай бұрын
Hi @timileyinariyo1656, I wouldn't recoomend using the same values everywhere. Better start with small steps of reduction and observe the model. The moment you are happy with the reduction without changing the model geometry is your number. Another reason to go on small steps is that if you try to reduce with too much on complex geometry your computer may have trouble to calculate the change. I hope this helps 😉

"Soild Body" --> create msh bodies bounded by singlefaces" I am using the student version 2021 and when trying to edit the imported stl geometry, the following error message appears. "the feature has not been completed because the mesh geometry cannot be merged with regular geometry" May you have an advise?
@DWorkshop4 ай бұрын
Hi @FabHay110, Thank you for your comment. It's possible that in your version this functionality is still not supported, but I'll propose you to try a workaround. It works in my version I hope it'll work in yours too, make your SW bodies as you wish to have them, then convert the solid bodies to mesh bodies and combine imported and converted mesh bodies.
@FabHay1104 ай бұрын
Thank you@@DWorkshop , It works partly. But anytime when i try to make a pattern or a swept boss/base the same error occurs. Trying to reconstruct the model. Thank you and thanks for your clear and useful videos.

Yes, that's the reason. Decimate mesh is introduced in 2020. Also keep in mind that I work with the latest version in my videos and even if some feature is available in so much earlier version it can behave in a different way.

I was confused at the very end when you were doing a circular pattern... and then I realized that a simple mirror about the plane would have made the text mirrored. Smart!
@DWorkshop4 ай бұрын
It was many years ago when I kept trying to make it with mirror, and then it was like "Ohhh". Then I had a period in which I was just making extrude cut or boss on both sides when I needed something like this, but it meant also another sketch which is very unconvenient when you have to change the text or the font. At some point I got the idea to use circular pattern. Thank you for your comment, it reminded me for the old days 😊
