There is no five elements of hip hop dance. There are about 20 to 30 dances and variations of hip hop dance. Come on man stop the cap.

As a former dancer & choreographer, of many styles of dance ranging from jazz to hip hop to house and even industrial... I have to say this was an impressive tutorial. Very articulate, brought it back to historical styles of dance (in this case, ballet), good examples shown of what was being explained. I've watched tutorials where there are so many "dudes, bros, etc." thrown in that it distracts from what it being taught. I'm going to have to hit Subscribe on this one.

That's what I am saying! I feel that in Hip Hop dance in general we lack the articulation to the art which limits our reach. I had to double check to make sure this wasn't an old video. He is informative and respectful to his OG's. Definitely a subscribe and a future battle.

this channel is a dancer’s best friend. really awesome foundational tips and helps me be more intentional with my movements. loved that point about wanting to say something directly (“and maybe its not very nice” 😭) vs general

Do you think you could do a video covering the foundations you mentioned related to ballet, like how to engage your core, inner thigh, and straightening your leg, etc? That would be really helpful with how well you explain things! Thanks for the content! You've been an incredible resource!

Just watched a few of your videos and totally agree re: foundations are vital regardless of how long you've been dancing. I love dancing, though still working through fully letting go of what others think! Having really strong foundations and patterns embedded in the body really does seem to help though. Thanks for the great content and keep going . New sub here 🎉

No it’s not you’re absolutely right. But he did not say that, he was making an analogy about how hiphop has a foundation and how ballet has a foundation
