A hornpipe... not played like that. Dotted and with triplets.

Now I finally get "how to Rag a Rag"! Many fiddlers don't achieve that; you make sense of it and I do appreciate You! Will be working on this and your Jazzy chord progressions as well!

I love this song if I may request a song could you do the sweet bunches of daisies by Kenny baker you showed me awhile ago

Sure thing. Hope all is well. BTW, I like to call these tunes, not songs. Although in the case of SBOD it is a song that has lyrics. 😁

❤ Loved seeing this. This song has been running 🏃♀️ through my mind all day as it does from time to time. I haven't been able to remember the dance & where to "put my foot" or feet. I learned it as a child. So glad you posted this. 😊😊 Thank you to all involved. 😊😊

This seems to be the same tune as the one the Kessingers recorded as Rat Cheese Under the Hill, although as Pike's Peak it's a little less ragtimey and a little more hoe-downy. Such a fun tune to play. I keep coming back to this version because I like the curlicues you toss in here and there.
@CharlieWalden2 ай бұрын
Hey Tim. Nice to hear from you. You're spot on with that Kessinger reference. Also, compare to Bob Wills Prosperity Special. Hope you're still getting in lots of tunes and writing tunes, too. Best Wishes!!

I thought Katrina Nikolayeff and Ashley Mckenzie where the only "crazy" people to play like this, looks like this goes all the way back to Dwight Lamb
