This is a tune from the southern Ohio/northern Kentucky region. It can be attributed to Buddy Thomas and Jimmy Wheeler. Among fiddlers of my generation who play great versions are Dave Bing of West Virginia and Barb Kuhns of Ohio.
The tune is in D and should be played "peppy" as it is great for a square dance.
