The Bomberger's seems to be a bit of a marketing ploy. All oak is fine, or tight grain wood. That is why white oak is used for the barrels.

Also the bulleit bib is not that great, it's to monk or jackfruit yeast strain heavy! It's way weird imo! Idk about the yeast strain they like using, it's just to tropical for a bourbon imo. It's info is from the 2017 distilling season. It's in every total wine up here in WA.

I would love to see James Beam Distilling do something with Old Crow. It would be nice to see an age stated, higher proof release or something similar. At one point before the brand was eventually acquired by Jim Beam Old Crow was considered by many one of the best bourbons.

The folks at Jack Daniels call it a bourbon. It's all marketing calling it a "Tennessee Whiskey." To seem unique and important. The 14 year is 126 proof....that should be closer to a cask strength. For me....a Peerless Wheated would be great...seems only logical with what they have in their portfolio!
@cashe35614 күн бұрын

As bummed that I am that Jack's special releases are 700ml, they still keep the MSRP fairly priced compared to most competitors and it helps them release more bottles (at their volume, I'm sure those extra 50mls add up!), hopefully increasing my chances to get one! So I personally don't mind too much haha
