I'm surprised at the amount of weathering, most sailing vessels had a full complement to operate the guns etc, and spent time swabbing the decks, cleaning everything Cks

People tend to confuse all ships with what we know from the british navy and tend to pretend that every ship was kept pristine, even if the trinidad ended it's life with a bad slap of red paint made in a rush, severilly under manned, and with the spanish navy basically bankrupt, still, everyone is making varnished ships, i'm pretty sure no ship was varnished, or not painted, i'd say i'm still closer to reality, the point of my ships are to be realistic, not to be historically accurate. A historically accurate model would be dust at the bottom of the sea anyway

Because masts were made with several pieces of wood, not just one like the kit, so it needs bracing to hold all the pieces together

@@louisevisagie7900 it's a bit about the Budget you are willing to put into it, Byrne's mini table saw is probably the best you can get, but crazy expensive, proxxon is probably better value
