Nice use of stand offs. Not often seen. When final tightened, the red bumper should be compressed. Guessing the video was test fit.

Man this hurts to see happen, but shows the importance of bracing a rimless tank.

Very nice 👌 I gotta do my wires and cables real soon. I opted for Adapted Reef control panel board. Congratulations on a beautiful tank and sump set up.

@@pingu8666 I'd sell it too.. That eurobrace would make it a PITA to clean the salt creep at the water line.

Flow sensors are incredibly redundant and unnecessary. Good on you for doing what you wanted but they are practically pointless on anything below 500 gallons. Simply applying proper maintenance to the aquarium will prevent your flow from diminishing. If you're lazy though, I get it. Edit: I see you're using them for a very specific purpose.

The only reason unions usually leak is because of a dry or damaged O-ring, if you never open the union, it will never be damaged but it's a good idea to order fresh O-rings for your unions prior to making adjustments after the system has been running for some time and the O-rings have been exposed to saltwater.

Stop valves work best when vertical, I have seen a number of them fail when mounted horizontally and effectively be useless after only a few months.

Did you silicone around your weir? Overflows are also notorious for leaking from the bulkheads between the weir and the glass.

omg.... this is what i call a hobby extinction event. If i had a tank that large break at the seam, i think i would just fall on my knees and cry and give up reefing.

This is my biggest fear with seamless tanks. No matter the manufacturer it seems like they all eventually fail. Sooner rather than later. I am giving a eurobraced tank a try. Although it still gives me a little anxiety! Not gonna lie 😅

Great to see you again, brother. Glad to see you’re doing well. Your reef tank build series was one of my major inspirations behind me getting into the hobby in a more serious way, and now I own and operate a small reefkeeping service company. Looking forward to hearing more about your reefing journey and life again! Absolute treat.

Omg!😮 I've just watched your video & it's absolutely made me feel 🤮 as I am in the process of ordering a rimless tank but now I'm definitely not. I'm glad you've got things sorted out tho, that is the only good thing to come out of this. Oh! I hope you apologised to your wife for telling her to shut up😏 because you for sure thought she was messing with you 😅 I hope all is well with your new tank ✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
