I have same problem with mine .i turn radio on and sound comes out for a spit second then stops . But only one speaker .does that mean all speakers are knackered. Cheers

So what software is needed to change the protection to the new vehicle? I'm sure it can be done otherwise no one could repair their audio system with replacements.

Hi Mark, I have the same car/head unit. When I start the car the sound comes on for a split second then no sound at all, I've tried another identical head unit and had the same result. I have done the same test you've done in the video with no sound at all. Any ideas? Thank you, Jack

Thank you for the video! I successfully repaired the radio on our mini with it! Like someone else mentioned I used a single strand from a piece of cable but the micro soldering is NOT for feint hearted!

Hi there, I am looking for some advise really. I have purchased an xtrons IA series unit for my 2006 Audi A4 with quad lock. I received the unit with a BOSE adaptor, which I used as I have Bose system. I got allot of static problems when the lights were on and rustling noise constantly. I contacted Xtrons and they sent me one of these adaptors free of charge. When I tried to use it one of the rear female phono ports was faulty and only a faint sound coming out when I turned the volume right up. I then purchased a 2nd hand adaptor and that worked fine for about two weeks but has since stopped working with the exact same problem. Can you advise what might be causing the issue? Thank you in advance for your help.

The problem happened a while ago but I still want to ask you. We still have a Renault Koleos Luxe 2009 diesel with the Carminat- Bluetooth-DVD-Bose Sound Edition. Hello, I have the same problem with my Koleos. The radio no longer makes any sound, the display does not show any radio function, although the navigation system works and Bluetooth also works. I have checked all fuses. Nobody knows why the radio doesn`t work or is the radio defective? What if I replace the radio with the same model? Does the system accept the replaced radio? It`s just annoying when there`s no radio playing in the Koli. I hope I was able to transcribe the written part well into English? I haven`t done it for a long time.
