92 was really 22 years ago? Oh boy. This was a great recap covering 1985, to the start of 2025.

A demonstrably false take from a good writer. Punisher existed fine - and to great success - in the MCU for decades before Ennis showed up. The idea that the word MAX on the cover suddenly makes it fine is absurd. Either way, thanks to the Woke zealots working at Marvel, they made Frank Castle evil and got rid of him. I assume they’ll bring him back - maybe - since some corporations seem to be walking back the dictates of their Woke employees. And Woke is defined as DEI - a deliberately misleading euphemism that actually tries to shut down any diversity or inclusion of any viewpoint that doesn’t conform. It’s anti freedom of speech with a lot of top down word policing and anti-science/reality - see any ideas on “gender”.

Any chance of reprinting sand/or deluxe versions of the sequel books anytime soon? (Son of Origins, Bring on the Bad Guys, The Superhero Women)
@wordballoonАй бұрын
I think that's the plan. he just did the 70s marvel calendar
@BBoy770Ай бұрын
@ Niiiice- I used to have the originals. I was on the fence about getting this deluxe one, but will now have to get that and the sequels! Do you know if the plan is for deluxe editions for each or just standard reprints?

Hear, hear to Glenn's comments about getting some pure villains and black and white conflict. Speaking of truly evil vlllians, Norman after he came back in the clone saga. Loved Glenn's Osborn Journal.

@troyggriffinАй бұрын
Agreed. Last Son of Krypton and Miracle Monday are my all time favorites Should be required reading for anyone that is writing a Superman story. Lexcorp is a wonderful coda to Maggin’s Superman/Lex mythology and solidifies the best, and coolest interpretation of Lex ever. Of course, the smartest man in the world would want to protect the world.

Black people are always expected to be forgiving and take the high road. Vinnie literally chose not to consider him because he was black, that's it nothing else. Then Vinnie gives some BS if I did that apology. Denys told him that he did it. Denys should have told him to kick rocks.

For anyone seeing this and want to read the Lenny Zero stuff, it's collected in the three Mega-City Undercover Books (the main series collected in those books is Low Life by Rob Williams and a ton of well known artists)

One of the few American creators who has worked for 2000AD and their sister comics on a relatively consistent basis (mostly just covers though, but normally it's "one and done", he's done a few). Vince Locke also comes to mind (he was a Judge Dredd artist and worked on A History of Violence with JD co-creator John Wagner). ps. the war comic Battle (created by John Wagner and Pat Mills) lead to the creation of the anti-Tory/-conservative/-fascist comic Action (created by Pat Mills, which was banned because of a "Kids Rule Ok" cover and then relaunched in a neutered version with eventually merged with Battle to create Battle Action, which was revived by 2000AD/Garth Ennis a few years back) which lead to 2000AD (created by Pat Mills), a satirical weekly sci-fi comic which did exactly the same things as what Action did but got away with it, 2000AD has been released weekly from 1977 to the present day (and except for a couple of issues, every single issue, 2406 issues so far, has a Judge Dredd one-shot or serialised JD storyline in it) ps. John Wagner (who co-created Judge Dredd) also has a strip in this new Battle Action vol 3 series which Chris Burnham worked on.
