I actually enjoy this one a lot more than the final version. It captures a sense of sporadic dread because you can only partially see the madness that's coming next. Like seeing the stars further along the vortex.

That is/was/forever will be beautiful. As far as I know, original transmission of Shada would have had some console room scenes but due to the strike and the sets not able to be used or even 'asembled' (or struck, which I think is the technical term), it would have been lovely to see this as a background for the menu screen on a DVD re-release or Blu-ray as the story being the last official six parter, featuring a few locations, having this image would have worked, there probably was a few thoughts that any unfilmed bits could have been added to the taping of The Leisure Hive, but that didn't work as there wasn't already any console room scene(s) in the finished serial. If ever they do anything about any of the adventures set between The Invisible Enemy and Logopolis, it would be ideal for it (if they didn't, it so should).

In 1969 I was born and how, I really and honestly wish I had been born, years before 1969 preferably born in the year 1963 when classic Dr Who started on tv in black and white on bbc1 and ran 26 years before it got axed.

They were still in use into the 1980's in Edinburgh, complete with air raid warning siren. In the early morning of one day they all accidently went off indicating that a nuclear attack was imminent, they started to disappear after that.

I was re-watching Part 1 of the the Classic Who episode "Revenge of the Cybermen" on Tubi TV when I noticed that the Vogans had a symbol on their uniforms that looked suspiciously like the Seal of Rassilon. What do you think? Coincidence or Easter Egg? What about Vogans/Vogons?
