spent the day filming some prodct shots for work with the marvelous Edelkrone motion control camera slider and I could resist doing this shot. just 2 identical takes faded together

How did you materialise the tardis w/out cg?
@Cyberrob6 жыл бұрын
anti - normal disestablishment so the slide track is programmed to repeat the same shot again and again and again so I filmed it once without the model and again with the model and cross faded the two clips together ie not computer generated

anti - normal disestablishment same way all the different elements were combined in the same movement in films like star wars,star trek and bladerunner

Although it would be a lot harder to generate the shot without the use of a computer for the slider, editor and camera. ;-)

I love it when people are like "THIS USES CG" not realising that CGI and VFX are different lmao
@RabbiB0Y3 жыл бұрын
Cgi is form of VFX, this shot along with all tardis demat and materlizing shots are just normal compositing in short no vfx are not different than CGI composing and CGI are however which is what this js
@KapybaraKSP3 жыл бұрын
@@RabbiB0Y I meant to specify that CGI and **general** VFX are different,not at least something along those lines is what I was trying to do 😂 I’m not super wise with the terms, but people always assume everything is “CGI” even though that’s not what you call half these bloody things 😂

That's way too good to be cg and the fact that the mirror in the back even looked like it actually materialized I guess the doctor messed up the tardis again

easy, you film the same shot twice, one without tardis and one with, i mean they used to do that in classic who....

very few instances where they did it with a motion control rig though, that was the point.
@williamg209two3 жыл бұрын
@@Cyberrob Well yes i feel such a rig wasn't really possible at the time but I believe in the 80s they manged to do what you did with a moving camera
