Love the flexibility of the force you demonstrate. Like when arrow hits the target.

I notice you tend to strike then sink, and have feet very open in ma bu Cheung chui etc - is there a particular reason for this as many other bajiquan styles wouldn't do this.
@youlihan5 күн бұрын
The sinking is letting the qi flow down Ming Men after every rise throughout the Spine and separate from the Shoulder-Blades into the Fists / Palms / Elbows. The feet are in BAN MABU (not Ma Bu). The reason has Application-Matters. There is also MA BU Zhong Chui. (not only Ban Ma Bu), but in this case I choose Ban Ma Bu, for Application Reasons. (Opponent attacks in straight line, in my system we choose Ban Mabu to enter, Oppenent attacks in circular line, we choose Mabu to enter) - easier to show than to explain.

The power is framed in physics: action with simultaneous reaction. Very nice explained... Thanks!

Nice. What is the multiple shaking after striking meant for? What do you practice with it? For instance at 0:40 or shown in the taolu in some cases.
@youlihan8 күн бұрын
sekkohsam, thank you. the 'shaking' at the end is a contraction and has no combat use in long distance, but in short range. it is simple force or energy release which we call 'fa jin' or 'fa li'. It trains the joins for shocking prompt use of short power for opening the way for following techniques (in clinch or in contact with the opponent). an upcoming video will show more in depth the use of moves.

Looks very "Wudangized", yet the Power Generation is impressive.

This is Long Jin Ju, pre-cultural revolution wudang bajiquan. (not to mix with todays wudang bajiquan, which is a competition form of dajia baji with complete different principles in movement).

@@youlihan Yes the Power Generation is very different (I learned a litte Taiwan Baji) , yet it would have felt like some sort of "hating" from me mentioning it, so instead I wanted to focus on whats obviously there and thats lots of Power Generation, while having this kinda soft flowing notion.

Hum Liu YunQiao lineage? 2 first drill are better practiced with DaQiang if possible, and emphasis on the stomp WHILE sinking, not before :) We can see the TaiJi in your Fajing, yet BaJi is "same not same" like wolf hair and dog hair.

DANKE!!!
