I wish I had a creepy camping ghost story but I don't, but I guess my scariest camping experience was while walking by the truck on day two of a camping trip and noticing the gas tank hanging crookedly. The rear strap had rusted away. The jack, some boards, and lots of rope secured it for the return home.

Hi Dee and Lee, so nice to see that you went to Lewey Lake Campground. We were just there the first weekend October 2024 at campsite 88. It was so beautiful with the fall colors, busy wildlife, and listening to the lake splash up against our beach. We tried to canoe from Lewey Lake through the outlet to Indian Lake but encountered a small waterfall which we were not prepared to cross. A fellow camper told us that it usually is not like that but it was that way because the water was low. Normally you could just canoe right under the bridge straight into Indian Lake. Thank you for sharing your camping trip with us. Glad you had a great time.

You are right the site on the point is the best & dieing to be able to get it in future. Sad too see you didn't stop at the overlook park or drive over to the santaonni preserve. The santaonni preserve would have been a perfect day trip. 10 mile round trip hike from gate lodge to great camp & back, or to farm complex only a mile in. We use your video because you show and tell us what to expect. We have not been disappointed one time because your videos have been pretty thorough . I hope you continue to keep your videos in this format. i’m assuming the technical person is Dee and what an awesome job you’ve been doing. you are the only ones that we have been watching because you’re kind of in our local area and what I mean by that is if you’re from New York we live in Connecticut. so far, we have been shadowing a good portion of the campgrounds that you have been at we plan to do a lot more . we are full-time seasonals at one Campground, but it was not a campground that you had on your videos. The closest you were , Charlie Brown Campground in Nickerson’s Campground in Chaplin in Eastford, Connecticut we are at the one you did not visit. If you ever stop at Peppertree Campground, please look up Chris and Wendy love to meet you With that, keep up the good work do not change too much from your format . I’m with Lee on this one. Generators are ok, but with neighborly discretion. Technology has come a long way, I can’t see where you need much more than some dedicated batteries and solar. I imagine the generator going 24-7 is due to an Rv running an air conditioner non-stop and hook ups aren’t available. As far as being a ‘prepper’ goes… yep, guilty. lol I even have a bug-out bag ready to go at a moments notice.

Definitely not a fan of hearing generators especially at night when I want to enjoy the quiet and my fire. Even the quiet ones can still be heard when the campground is still. Unfortunately, there are always a few selfish people who only consider what they want and don't respect the relaxation and enjoyment of others. I'm not opposed to them being used, but it should be during limited daytime hours so that folks can charge batteries etc. I appreciate the fact that many campgrounds have specific generator hours. I don't appreciate the folks that are selfish and ignore those times. As to being prepared, yup, I've been feeling that same vibe too. So many crazy things going on in our country and the world right now, I think we need to start thinking like that.

A generator is a great option for being able to boondock and in CT you have to shut it down by the latest 10pm at state parks. I went with the duel fuel champion brand witch is 4500 watts and will run a single RV air conditioner and all the receptacles ,lights , refrigerator and even the microwave at the same time. Also its very quiet for the power it puts out. Also i would like to see product reviews for the stuff you guys use.

I’ve put so much work into our solar setup that I haven’t needed it. Honestly if the generator is being used as guidelines state I don’t think anyone should/could have an issue with it.
