Honestly i really can't understand how you did all that even with the help of the video so many steps are skipped and done so fast it's hard to keep up even at .25 speed and being new to PS and AI really doesn't help. i got to the point where i have the outline of my grip but i can't figure out how you get the vector of the pattern to merge with the outline of the grip please help.....

Bro! Thanks a lot! You just save me tons of time having to experiment with Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, and the laser software K40 Whisperer. I was having a problem with Adobe Illustrator created SVG files reading properly on Inkscape. I knew that the problem was somewhere between the stroke and or the type of path being created with Adobe Illustrator files. What I kept getting were SVG files on Inkscape that were getting a double line issue. Since I couldn't see the overlapping of the lines because of Inkscape's GUI, I knew that the double lines were there because each time that I test cut/engraved on a K40 Laser Machine, I'd get weird double lines appearing on my Engravings, and the lines were mm off from where the original engraving line was drawn on. I couldn't solve this issue for a while. Then a few minutes ago, while playing around with Inkscape's interface, I stumbled upon the Break Apart feature and lo and behold, the infamous double lines were there! They only became very visible and noticeable after I reduced the stroke width to something like 0.050. The part that I was getting ready to do next was completely scrap Inkscape and play around with Adobe Illustrator's settings to realize where this double line was being created. But thanks to your video, I know exactly where I need to experiment with and get the right results needed. Since it's 4:00 a.m. now, I am going to call it quits for today and experiment later on today. You have no idea how grateful I am for your quick and simple explanation to this problem! Thanks again!
