My preemie baby is struggling with this Philips Avent bottle instead of assembling the bottle propery. It seems she is not getting or latching the milk from it. Kindly help me out in this regard.

These bottles are shit. Free bottle from the hospital actually lets milk out.. get the anti colic version and milk flows. Same size nip on these basic bitch ones and nothing. Kid is pissed and I'm out on youtube trying to figure out how to get a bottle to operate... Harvard degree aint worth shit

I also put a baby wipe or tissue around the neck of the bottle and that works for us xx

The anti colic bottle is the older of the two designs which predates the philips ownership all they did was add the little green vent thing. Both bottles were designed to be anti-colic by themselves.

All of mine leaked on first use. I tossed them all into the trash and got the philips avent instead. No problems now.

The venting system is great. However, Dr.Brown's nipples 0+month are way too fast for a newborn baby. I cant use them because of this issue. Way too fast for a 2 week old baby. I have used other 0+ month nipples and are at much more slower flow. Useless until baby is few months old to control that rapid flow

The avent “natural” is called natural because he doesn’t leak unless baby is sucking. Dr browns has “natural” nipples as well.

I saw a video where a lady said to prevent the leaking, she turns the top cloister clock wise until it looks straight and then turns it clock wise to close correctly and her bottles no longer leak.

Expensive for nothing bottles. Get cheap bottles at dollar general if you don’t want your baby to be all wet of milk. Had to throw away 12bottles for cause they’re annoying with leaking🤮🤮

LEAKING; CHANGE TEAT. I’ve been using this bottle too ever since my baby was born. Soon enough I also experienced leaking at around 8 weeks of my baby using it. I googled and at dr browns original website, it actually stated that it was because of the pressure build up in bottle created by baby when sucking a little too strongly because of the flow not keeping up with baby needs. It actually recommended to change its teat to a size up. Works well for me! Previously i was only using the premie flow and did not change as level 1 was too fast for my baby (when he drinks it spills out of his mouth) After the leakage happen, i decided to give it a try and realized that my baby was already ready for level 1 flow and now the leakage also stopped!

Got the sanitizer in thrift today so I am here looking for bottles, considering if I will try these and see..maybe I won't have the leak..maybe I will. Any other bottle alts?
