These are SO helpful and informative. I had no idea about all the additional charges for some apartments like resort fees, etc. Could you check out the Avondale Apartments sometime?

We're looking at this exact spot to move from Texas in September, so glad I found this video. I was a bit concerned by someone stating maintenance is on your own, which is wild for a place you're renting - do you know if this is true or not? Additionally, 7 months later, did you see anything a little better than this? We're still open to consideration!

We saw a few new communities built from AMH which offer some really good bang-for-buck that we're leaning towards down in Mojave Hills - Even going in blind, sounds like a good deal for renting :) Appreciate your response Caroline, thanks!

I lived here last year in the Magnolia townhouse. It was amazing. Loved the location, management and maintenance was quick to respond to everything, neighbors were friendly, community was relatively quiet. If my financial situation hadn't changed it probably would have been a forever home. Cannot recommend them enough. I was worried moving in with the negative reviews, but I didn't have any issues at all.

My issue with their properties is, their base rent even before their fees are high as hell. I feel like they price themselves on the same level as the high end Ovation Properties (Aspire) BUT, the fixtures, and appliances that you get in the Elysian properties is noticeably lower quality than what you get at the high end Ovation ones…At least with properties like Aspire at Echelon, Redwood, Flamingo Grand, ect you can actually see the luxury and quality inside the actual units themselves.

Wow the junk fees are getting out of control. An additional $300 on top of your rent is insane. ETA: I see it’s managed by Greystar which recently took over my building. I refuse to renew my lease with them which is why I’m moving. They’re looking to add additional miscellaneous fees.

These are very nice and so is the area! Fees are corny of course. Can you find out with the Elysian tech packages, how do the internet speeds work? Also never heard of Winco but also think it’s best to highlight national chains like Trader Joe, Whole Foods, and Aldi as well 🥂

@@qikstar yes it’s cox internet and cable it’s going to be a basic internet service I believe. I would have to call and ask. Yes winco is a discounted grocery store which I personally love! And yes I added Whole Foods, I just haven’t added aldis because there is only one and it’s in Henderson ☺️

So, are they saying that for Account Balance Verification, you have to have at least a year's rent in your account when they check?

so basically yes if in the event that you don't have regular paystubs that you can show that you make 2.5 x the rent, you would have to show that you have saving in your account. But that's only if you don't have paystubs ☺
