Thank you so much for this! I often get intimidated by goal setting (especially the "someday" goals) and I love how you made this spread work for you. You have some awesome ideas in here that I'll definitely be using :) Happy New Year!

I ended up putting my Common Planner (TN) in an old Hobonichi Techo cover I had because I was afraid with it being so thick that a Traveller cover wouldn't close over it all the way.

Thanks for sharing this 😊. I use a similar approach but don’t use a title/topics as I use the first column for the vision and the someday column to say how I will know I have achieved my goal or what having reached the goal look like (the why you want to reach the goal, if you like). The rest of the columns I use as you do. I hope you don’t mind a suggestion - it helped me quite a bit when I started doing this - when writing your vision don’t write it as another to-do eg become debt free, instead write it as if you are there, so in this case it would be I am debt free. My next column would then be something like … Instead of paying off debts I can save to retire early, I travel, I can work part time, I can buy a new car etc. Thanks again - I’d be interested in following you through the trackers and quarterly pages as you follow through in 2024.

Hi Dorothy! I LOVE the approach you suggested. I believe in the power of the tongue, so stating the vision as if you’re already there is a great way to stay motivated and manifest your new reality. Thank you for sharing!

It was good to see the breakdown more clearly with this planner so thanks for sharing. I've created my own pages since I couldn't fit what I wanted into the planner but I've taken some notes from this to incorporate. I easily have more than one goal per category and I'm working to define what is actually a goal compared to projects or tasks. Being a blatant creative my little nudge question for you is where's your category for creativity/fun/recreation? 😉
@papermemia7 ай бұрын
I love that question! I have always had a passion for creativity (I sketch). However, I know that since having kids, I haven’t prioritized my passions as much, so thank you for being the mirror I needed. I’m excited to figure out what that goal will be 😊

Great video ! I struggle with how much I want to future plan vs record the past. I wonder if you (or other viewers) for example write down their exercise intentions before hand or wait and document what they did ? Is there a way to do both and if so, what’s the best way? I hate to have lines drawn through all over my planner ….

I relate with this system. I use an astrological planner for my day to day and it has been a great upgrade from the simpler datebooks I was using before just listing appointments. The layout is different but my method is very similar to yours in how I use it as a daily/weekly planner. I also use a ring notebook for all my projects and longer term tasks that aren’t confined to specific time based anything. I love putting bullet points ahead on the calendar and just forgetting about it (tasks for certain days in the future, etc). I can plan out the steps of things in advance and already this orients me to the week before I get there. In the long term notebook I keep notes on things… work projects but also home stuff… like home repairs that eventually need to get done, or budgeting, etc. It’s all there whenever I need it and I don’t have to search around. It’s been such a godsend! And I designed the whole system just from what I knew I needed and made it really straight forward. When you’re busy you can’t be fussing around with the planner all the time... Haha! But it really does bring a lot more productivity and peace of mind as a “second brain.”
@papermemia8 ай бұрын
I love the level of detail you described and how functional you can make a regular notebook. I also enjoy a good brain dump. That way, I know the task is accounted for and I can think about something else. Happy planning! 😊
