Repurpose an old planner/notebook or even reimagine how to use a layout to manage your tasks throughout the week! I will walk you through different ways that I have managed tasks throughout the years and some best practices that I have found to be most helpful.
Enjoy!

THIS!!!! Mia your style of planning is what I’ve been searching for in the planner community!! Simple yet aesthetically pleasing. No stickers or frills. Some important looted highlights for a pop of color. This is most similar to my style and what I’ve been trying to achieve in my Hobos!!! Please make more videos!!

The absolute FUNCTION of this blows me away. I love the way you used the yearly spreads in particular - those are always hard for me but I'm appreciating how you take us through each type of spread with practical examples.

Loved your video and your style: very objective, sharp in what's important and with a positive and energetic vibe. Thank you so much for sharing the way you plan. I also cannot live with thousands of different planners, I need one and only one to make it work. Again, thank you. 🙂

“I’ve tried it all.” Yes! Me too. I bounce around a lot between Hobonichi Techo, Jibun Techo and Bullet Journaling in Field Notes sized notebooks. I always tend to come back to Bullet Journaling because of how small my chosen notebooks are. On Sunday, I love that I can pull the notebook out of my leather cover and put it in the zippered pocket of my Bible cover for church. Other times, I have carried just the notebook in my pants pocket. That portability is key for me. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed your video. -Randy

I love this! This is what I've always instinctively done, but then I'll try some new fangled project planning method. And weeks, or even days, later, I'm overwhelmed and feeling paniced. And what do I do? Grab my notebook and make a brain dump. Very cool to see Hobonichi notebooks used in such a utterly functional way. Subscribed!

I started my planning journey using the monthly. Til this day, the monthly works well. And the weekly pages is a detail kind of (work) planning in order to get it done

I had to maximize your video bc your handwriting caught my attention as some fantasy elvish type of script HAHA then after some squinting I realized it was only cursive with a line drawn thru it. You have beautiful cursive handwriting and I love the simplicity of your planning style!!! Going to go watch your other videos now.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s only been a week and I keep coming back to this video! My task management system is using a digital to do list app to capture everything then transfer it in my planner. I’m looking forward to your video about the sticky notes and work notes.

This is a great idea! I feel like as long as things are getting transferred to your planner to get done, it’s a win

I relate with this system. I use an astrological planner for my day to day and it has been a great upgrade from the simpler datebooks I was using before just listing appointments. The layout is different but my method is very similar to yours in how I use it as a daily/weekly planner. I also use a ring notebook for all my projects and longer term tasks that aren’t confined to specific time based anything. I love putting bullet points ahead on the calendar and just forgetting about it (tasks for certain days in the future, etc). I can plan out the steps of things in advance and already this orients me to the week before I get there. In the long term notebook I keep notes on things… work projects but also home stuff… like home repairs that eventually need to get done, or budgeting, etc. It’s all there whenever I need it and I don’t have to search around. It’s been such a godsend! And I designed the whole system just from what I knew I needed and made it really straight forward. When you’re busy you can’t be fussing around with the planner all the time... Haha! But it really does bring a lot more productivity and peace of mind as a “second brain.”

I love the level of detail you described and how functional you can make a regular notebook. I also enjoy a good brain dump. That way, I know the task is accounted for and I can think about something else. Happy planning! 😊

I certainly need more of this and of course I subscribed! My system is really like yours except I'm a vertical weekly addict 😅 but I need to see more functionality and less stickers on KZbin definitely! A question: it seems you write down the same tasks repeatedly through your weeks/months...is it correct or it was just my impression?
@papermemia
@papermemia 8 ай бұрын
Thank you! And in my latest video I talk about how much I don’t like rewriting things lol I plan on just letting all of my tasks live in the weekly and all appointments and meetings living in the monthly. Also considering only doing personal in the monthly and work in the weekly. We’ll see!
@mirosanovo8071

@@papermemia I don't like it either! That's why I use a rolling weekly task list for my to dos and I write my meetings just in the weeklies. Monthlies are for programming at the beginning of each month so there is a bit of repeating but just for the sake of programming things at work
@papermemia
@papermemia 8 ай бұрын
@@mirosanovo8071I love that idea! What type of programming things are you tracking?
@mirosanovo8071

@@papermemia I noticed that I need to program my work activities in a visual space, as the monthly view with squares. I usually go to the monthly view at the beginning of the month and I write down my already known appointments/deadlines, then based on my schedule I plan max. three priorities for the week and write them in the weekends (my planner is mostly work related so the weekends are mostly useless). I adjust my priorities on a weekly basis but I also see people who does it bi-weekly or monthly. I'm also thinking about planning my workouts since I workout in a gym and at home

I still love watching your videos and seeing your planners. Question - I’m struggling with keeping up with items that are pending action from someone else before I can finish my part and mark as completed. The list just grows and grows. How do you track items like this? I’m drowning…
@papermemia
@papermemia 9 ай бұрын
I responded on IG but going to add here in case others have the same question: I love that you’re using one planner (Hobonichi Cousin)! One way I was thinking is to either use a sticky note or designate a portion of your daily page to just writing down the actions of others. At the end of the day, I would transfer the due date of those actions to the blank space at the top of your vertical weekly spread so you remember to follow up. Another option is to use the yearly index and treat it like a Gantt chart for the various deliverables.
