@@perrylankford4269 on all cylinders states: On Aug. 17, 1915, Charles Kettering was issued a patent for his “engine-starting device”-the first automotive electric starter. Kettering, co-founder of Dayton Engineering Laboratories Co. (or DELCO), was tasked with developing the new starter by Cadillac in 1911.

Those front head-lamps look like converted "acetylene" lamps. One of the same "gasses" in a cutting torch. Black paint was chosen because it dryed the fastest. The bodies last longer because chrome vanadium metal was used. There are supposedly 5,000 +/- model T or A bodies on the road today. Many more abandoned complete bodies &/or pieces somewhere. Part of HF's inspiration came from mentally reverse engineering a butcher shop. Assembly line disassembly inspired assembly line assembly. He credited his wife for being very supportive & being by his side & holding an oil lamp @ night, in the barn, while working on his "contraption". He greased his hair down with #8 kerosene. Other interesting facts about HF. He admired Hitler. Some Jews will neever buy a Ford. (I wasn't there to witness any (alleged) events.)

In his 1927 auto biography, he stated he never mad such a statement about black. Some five colours were available but the problems was the expense of the other colours. The black japan dried in several hours per coat. The others took a day per coat. The price went as low ss three hundred dollars.

People often refer to the ford model a as a the sedan so I’m thinking the model t would be more likely a wagon as there were a bunch of wagons pulled by horses still in that era

The License plate is Nomad 68. The 1968 Nomad was a six-passenger station wagon that was part of the Chevelle model line. It was the least expensive Chevelle station wagon of the year and was only available with a six-cylinder engine. History: The Nomad nameplate was revived in 1968 after a six-year absence. It replaced the Chevelle 300 station wagon and was marketed as a six-passenger vehicle. In 1969, the Nomad was separated from the Chevelle model line and became its own model.
