Very very impressive, BUT why didnt you make the...fore arm cuff/piston housing of wood as well? you obviously know wood turning. It's interesting to see what can be made in what materials, & what can't, I was surprised to see some one was able to make this entire thing in metal (that took FOUR yrs) how much more could be made in wood do you suppose? I've seen a head to toe wood version by some one in America but it wasnt so impressive, but I still got the feeling it could be done in wood only better. there was also some one that had made an IRON MAN suite on the RPF by using mostly panel beating aluminium around formers. that was done to a professional standard

I love that this is durable and functional. The doors open electronically. Seems like a better prop that you can kick around and have it still work. Very different than all the plastic versions out there

So much in here that I am curious about at the moment. Thank you for showing us your many technical solutions. Loved the steel rod bending. And the spot welding on your wood work bench. Your rocks seemed to be quite soft, are they in fact compressed clay and silt. They really did not look very hard.

That's a beautiful piece of mid-century furniture! I see you did 3/4" dado cuts on the top and bottom pieces to support the interior dividers but I do not see their intersections on the front of the final piece. You must have used edge banding?

So the link to the templates has been dead for quite some time. I sent the guy a message a long time ago and nothing came of it. The other link in the description is the info that those templates were based on. All the measurements you need are in the second link. Not as convenient as printable templates but the dimensions are accurate. I hope this helps.
