As a Bayern fan, let me explain to you the Sane cycle: Season starts, he plays brilliant and gets you 15 scorers in 15 games. Towards the end of the first half of the season he loses form and/or gets injured. After recovery he plays a very mediocre second half of the season, not terrible, but at best! 5 scorerpoints in 20 games. He then gets injured again for the rest of the season, sometimes he plays through it though if possible, he is a fighter afterall! That´s basically the Sane-cycle, with some variations due to naughtier injuries every now and then. Oh and I should also mention that sometimes he has stints that last 10-15 games, where he wouldn´t score an open goal even if his life depends on it...

If you’re in the top 4 you should basically be unable to get sacked. It’s the same with player career. Multiple consecutive 25+ goal seasons and your manager being unhappy because you were out of position one too many times in a game. Or having a 45 goal season and winning the League and cup and only attracting offers from Aston Villa and Wolves
