When Jimmy spoke the truth about real issues in America that needed addressing, he was demonized as "being negative," while Ronbo Raygun belched platitudes and was lauded as a leader! Jeez.

03:00 - I think today Jimmy Carter would realise, and would tell us that, despite the decline of America, of "the West", the wealthy have always become wealthier, corporate America and Global Capitalism has always profited and "profiteered" - especially from wars and strife. But now, our Democracies are "worn out", our vulnerable and poor citizens are facing doom, the homeless, the addicts, the prisoners are literally dying from neglect. It's time for the wealthiest to start contributing!

President Carter warned us of many things including global warming - he actually put solar on parts of the White House in the late 1970's. However Reagan's people took them down because they'd all their $ invested in the fossil fuel industries. President Carter also warned about America's crumbling infrastructure & yes 80% of the U.S. infrastructure is in extreme dire need of repair. President Carter was an honest & very good President!! Little do people know that Iran was actually getting ready to release the American hostages in October of 1980 but Reagan's campaign manager William Casey found out about that & met with some Iranian intermediaries & told them to hold the hostages longer because it would help Reagan get elected. So they decided to hold them until after the November 1980 election & magically they released our American personnel being held hostage exactly 20 minutes after Reagan got inaugurated January 20, 1981. Believe me it was no coincidence. Had Iran released the U.S. as planned in October of 1980 IMO President Carter would've been re-elected. All Reagan did was give tax cuts to billionaires & triple the U.S. federal deficit. His BS talk about trickle down economics was all just an outright lie!!! President Carter IMO was 1 of the best Presidents the United States ever had. The USA & the earth is a million times worse off ever since Ronald Reagan stole the election from President Carter. Who's really responsible for our now 35 trillion dollar federal deficit? All the way from George Washington who took office in 1789 till the day President Carter left office in January of 1981 the entire U.S. Federal deficit was only $910 billion dollars (& that includes WW l & WW2). Reagan more than tripled the deficit in just 8 years. So Reagan added circa 3 trillion - George W Bush added about 20-25 trillion (remember the too big to fail disaster, etc) & Trump added 8.4 trillion. The GOP cares about one thing only & that's giving totally reckless tax cuts to billionaires and trillionaires & starting unnecessary wars. President Carter was an honest man and IMO Reagan, George W & Trump weren't honest & Trump is the most dishonest President ever in U.S. history. Trump didn't honestly get re-elected November 5, 2024 - it was bought and paid for his multi billionaire & trillionaire friends.

What a decent human being President Carter was. While on a layover at hartsfield airport late September 2001( jst aft 9/11) he and Rosalyn boarded our plane and he proceeded to greet and shake hands with Everyone on that flight. His work with Habitat FH etc.This Man lived a century for many reasons surely. One of if not the main reason was, he had Love in his heart!! And lest we forget Orwells Word: The more a Society drifts from the Truth , the more it Will Hate those who speak it!!! RIP

Facile fronts, pretence, self interest and non caring for the welfare and wellbeing of ALL Americans now openly, visible dominate a shallow society.

@michaelhubbard5246 Well, no US President is a dictator, benevolent or otherwise. Imo, Carter lived these words from Christ his whole life: "He who would be great among you must be your servant. He who would be the first must be your slave just as the Son of Man has come not to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many." Carter was such a leader.
@chrisgreco4249
@chrisgreco4249 16 күн бұрын
@michaelhubbard5246 During Carter's one term as President he negotiated the Camp David peace accords that ended war between Egypt and Israel to this very day. He negotiated the Panama Canal treaty and the Strategic Arms Limitations Talks. He signed into law bills creating the Dept's of Energy and Education. He successfully fought against stagflation creating 8 million new jobs in 4 years. He reduced the federal deficit. What did Reagan do? He destroyed the American middle-class as it had been thriving since the end of WWII. He drove up the federal deficit. He forced middle-class American mothers to go back to work in numbers not seen since WWII. The term "latch-key kid" didn't exist before Reagan's deplorable, immoral, unjust enrichment of the wealthy few at the direct detriment of the vast majority of middle-class Americans. What has Trump done? Increased the federal deficit by $2 TRILLION DOLLARS in a few short years by giving huge tax cuts to himself and his mega-wealthy campaign donors. Incited the only violent attack on our Congress by a sitting President in American history. Stole 1,000's of top secret docs vital to US national security and refused to return them voluntarily. Withheld $400 MILLION in military aid to Ukraine in an attempt to bribe Ukraine into supporting his lies and overt support of Putin. The above is a small tip of Trump's lifetime of greed, immortality, tax evasion, criminal fraud, and treason.
