My husband and I stayed there in the 1970's and loved it. It had a charming atmosphere and was low key. Movie stars used to stay there in the separate cabins, in prior years. We had hoped to go back and stay there again, but by the time we wanted to go, it had, unfortunately been sold to the freakish Scientologists. They had armed guards on the entrance and told us to go away. So sad........

Great memories great shows from Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, the Marx Brothers, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Lena Horne, Jimmy Durante, and Abbott and Costello. Today's vegas is far more expensive but still a wounderous place to visit but nit quite the same.

I was one of the two gardeners that took care of the grounds. My boss was Steve Penovitch, a truly wonderful man. Thanks Steve, you taught me more than just gardening, you helped me grow up.

Wow! Sure doesn't look like that now. The river was so big, there's a lot more green space. It's horrible how people have depleted the natural beauty in such a short time.
