In this mission where Jason have the final confrontation with Vaas, he will ask you to shoot him. If you wait until he is on his knees without shooting, he will start to beg to end his misery.

For anyone who's playing this for the first or second time. Instead of shooting at the Vaas vapors. Run, heal, run, heal, run heal. It will save you from frustration.

Try shooting less from the hip...it will reduce the amount of bullets you wasted rather than spraying them all over the place (call of duty tip)

"Take me into your heart! Accept me as your savior! Nail me to the fucking cross, And let me be reborn!" Vaas wanted to die. He wanted someone as worthy as him, someone as fucked up and willing to do anything. He saw himself in Jason, blindsided by Citra whom had manipulated the both of them. By killing him, Jason essentially takes Vaas into his heart. Thus allowing Vaas to be reborn as Jason, whom then goes on a revenge killing spree against Hoyt. Throughout Far Cry 3, Vaas is the reason that Jason finds himself, what he's truly capable of. Citra knows what Jason can do, and uses that to her advantage. Vaas knew this, as he's been through the cycle. "She's gonna make a warrior out of you. You are so fucked, Jason."

Its very sad that Jason immediatly thinks about Citra when he kills Vaas instead of thinking about his brother Grant who was killed by Vaas

@@dikshant_4380Yeah, Citra the true evil in Far Cry 3, she manipulated Vaas into killing all of his friends years earlier, which is exactly what she tries to manipulate Jason into doing at the end of the game. Not to mention she wanted Vaas to have a child with her, probably multiple children, as is Rakyat tradition. Naturally, these things turned Vaas insane, he was filled with tremendous regret, which eventually turned to hatred for his half sister, and none of this was helped when he turned to drugs and became addicted to them, specifically coke, increasing his aggression and gradually destroying his mind. Vaas is definitely evil, but he’s evil of the broken variety, not evil for the sake of being evil, he’s the lesser of two evils, or three if you want to include Hoyt. Glad he escaped the Rook Islands, hope he found some peace in South America, the homeland of his mother or father, his other home

hiya! vaas is comparing himself to jason, saying that their situations are very similar. jason was a naive, normal american guy before he came to the islands - then his brother Grant was killed, he fell in with citra, and jason became a monster. once upon a time, vaas was also just a naive rakyat guy. he would've done anything for his sister citra; then she betrayed him (metaphorically 'dying' to vaas, rather than literally dying like Grant), he fell in with hoyt, and vaas became what he is today. rook island ripped both of them to shreds and turned them into ruthless monsters. vaas acknowledges this, saying "we're so fucked, hermano." they're enemies, yes, but vaas wants jason to see that they went through the exact same process: and if jason doesn't leave citra's side, she's going to ruin him like she ruined vaas. "you and me, and i am you" is both a prophecy and a warning. hope my explanation helps! :)
