Finally watching this, it's clear that Rondel was the winner. I'm fed up with these competitions being biased toward their home country. It's evident that they wanted Jamaica to win, and that's unfair to everyone else. Keep your head up, Rondel. You're the clear winner. That female judge made her decision since the first dish.

Steups! They both did great throughout the season but I did find some of Aaliyah's dishes in the finale a bit lacking, she also served a parmesan crisp on a plate with raw rice, everything on your plate is supposed to be edible. Tomato paste and salt fish for sure would have been much too salty. The beauty queen in the middle should have just sat on the side like the last guest judge, I missed seeing the other judge more. She also had a problem with everything Rondell did, girl please! Lots of bias for sure, use better judges. Mr. Nestle Caribbean throughout the season was also quite negative and I haven't heard him saying much about Rondell. Please please have better judges next time, have people who know about what they're judging on. Have these people eaten at any Michelin star restaurant like Noma and The French Laundry etc? Have people who know proper food and culinary terms. Chef Roger and the other Chef were fine and they're well experienced.

This was shocking. The finale could have been an extended 1 hour episode. I'm not sure how they arrived at their decision . I appreciate the entertainment value of the show .

12:01 how did that dish wow the judges with all those seeds? in fine dining, everything is edible....what was this honey infused saltfish with a parmesan crisp? how is that a 10000 dollar dish?

Nepotism at its finest....bias at its finest. these are my takeaways from watching this season from the beginning. I was really thrilled to see such a regional event however there are things that have irked me and I waited until the finale to voice some. How were the dishes scored? I never saw a scorecard, I never saw the judges really say a chef lost points in plating but made it up in flavour etc. Lack of diversity, how could the winner burn all her meats and still cup the prize? Is the old adage true, that Caribbean people don't know fine dining? How can a guest judge be so influential that the others just turned tail and did her biddings and listened to her whims? I noticed that Ms Hanna had no problem with anything that the winning chef produced! This judge complimented a Parmesan crisp! Fried cheese...that's what her palate saw as tasty. What really was the criteria to decide the winner? I'm sure in the episode before a judge criticized a chef for "massacring" a Tomahawk Steak, but in the finals its ok when another does it. To the point of diversity, there should have been 5 judges on the table, so in the event of a tie, we could've had a tie breaker. But with Ms Hanna there, I'm sure where her vote would've gone. I felt the dishes weren't judged, I was really disappointed. A judge said one chef was trying to hard, trying to hard to show off his skills and talent, however, this same judge praised burnt shrimp and sweet potato fries? really? I made my opinion, others may not agree but I am flabbergasted. I hope that the other competitions could have better scoring and judging because boy oh boy.....nepotism at its finest.

I think the lighting on this show needs to be improved a bit. It doesn't seem as though they are in a well lit area or maybe there are not enough lights. It's not a bad show so I hope they improve as they go on.
