I’m a little unclear who sang the high note at the end. It sounded like Hadley but I thought Ramin had the higher voice between the two.

I’ve got to say, hearing Hadley perform this song live at Chess in Concert was one of the most surreal musical theatre experiences I’ve had - it’s perfect for his voice and while I think Ramin is INCREDIBLE and he sounds brilliant always, Hadley takes this song to another level and if you haven’t heard the bootleg of it online, definitely give it a listen!

@@elisabethnerolk2283 I have and perhaps it’s my bias from having seen Hadley do it on stage (and with a Russian accent), I still prefer when he performs it. Though whenever I watch that concert version with Josh Groban, Adam Pascal, Idina Menzel et all, I’m still floored by his version

The way he belts out that one "Maria" is just perfect. -That's not even how it's supposed to be sung as per how it was written, but it doesn't sound out of place. It just fits!- Scratch that last bit because this part is actually in the sheet music, it's just that the recordings I've heard of this song, from the original Broadway cast and the two movies, use the alternative provided because it was probably too high for the singers of those versions. That note is a high B-flat! Holy crap! Fraser is a beast.

My favourite guys singing from my favourite musical! ❤ Like everyone else here, I wish Ramin and Hadley would do an album together, or at least release the Researsal Room sessions on DVD...
