I would love a graphic update for 11 but I like the gameplay as it is cause I can just vibe and do most things no stress. I just would love to see some cutscenes remastered! (More QoL would be nice too) Anyways thanks for the video :)

I was 10 in the 80s when this show was on CBS. It was underrated. Not a show that was talked about at school or elsewhere like the Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I (which i didn't really like), Remington Steele or A-Team(which was slightly overrated in my opinion) but Simon and Simon was good. Would be a good remake actually.

I’m definitely taking this as Endless Sphene literally physically ultimately cannot rebel against her coding, the only flexibility is how. But since she is also patterned after the Queen Sphene’s own thought patterns so she feels intense guilt from being forced to be a genocide machine. Even so her Prime Directive is so strong she can NOT lean into her Queen Sphene personality and reject her directive. Also I definitely believe the Endless are people. We’ve established that human beings need physical bodies, souls, and memory. Missing one makes you incomplete, and the Endless are missing their physical bodies, so their soul portion keeps dissipating and needs upkeep. Which is yknow, how the Scions were in the First. We accept them as alive, ergo the Endless are too. Anyway Living Memory hits hard particularly for people who recently lost significant others like I did. I still recoil from hearing the post-MSQ theme and it took me days to get over it; not even Endwalker affected me this much. See you in other videos!

Erenville adopted not just the naming but also the Othardian Viera accent. He did all that precisely to not be asked about his Turali ancestry. Recall that another person adopted a mannerism not entirely on his own: Urianger adopted his language from highbrow books trying to impress people but also Uncle Orange is a huge dorky nerd so yeah. Cahciua never left Tural and so speaks with a Xak Turali accent. We know that Erenville didn’t like being called Elene’shpya by anyone other than his mom. Also as both are naturalists, Cahciua saved the last zone for last because she wanted to spend her last moments doing what she love with her own student/son. And like mother, like son, they’re both BAD about confronting their emotions (avoidant types? /armchairdiagnosis).

Apparently in Japanese, the Unlost World is…the Unlost World*. As befits the Japanese naming scheme where English words in katakana sound “cool” to Japanese ears, it uh, kinda lost a bit of its charm when rendered to actual English. *Technically the kanji is 失なわれざる世界 (read: Ushinawarezaru Sekai), which means, well, Unlost World, but the furigana (the way to read the kanji) is, you guessed it, Unlost World. Is that enough Unlost Worlds for you? >:3

Update: Since you made the FFXI login screen last week, I've since re-installed the game and have been playing it non-stop for the first time in 12 years. Currently about to solo some primals to clear the Fenrir quest for Summoner just to talk to the NPC to gain access to trusts lol. I forgot how tedious and clunky everything is, but so far it's still a lot of fun!

The second this raid got announced I was like "The Eji vid on this is gonna be fire" Its so fun to hear your thoughts and explaining all the references!!

Trains still have their own uses over aerial forms of transportation, like in real life trains can transport more cargo than planes are able to carry. If an Ascian is involved I think it is more likely as a surviving member of Preservation, as remember the Sphene from 7.0 never had a real flesh-and-blood body, she was just an image projected on to various Alexandrian robots, and as far as we know an Ascian can't possess a robotic vessel. I am guessing the fake Sphene could be a new programmed entity or simply someone with a powerful glamour. As for the memory manipulation, it wasn't just people with black neo-regulators who had their memories altered (other side/optional NPC dialogue is more explicit about this), but rather all people in Alexandria who had their memories altered (whether or not it affected people with regulators outside of the dome we'll have to wait and see). As for the Sphene who just regained consciousness in Living Memory, my first instinct is to also guess that maybe it was the original human Sphene waking up. That either her body was put on ice/suspended animation before she actually died, or she is a soul in a robotic vessel like the non-Endless Otis was (albeit in a more realistically human one).

Ah I'd love to go back in time and play ffxi again for the first time! I remember reading the official guidebook over and over while it took like a day to install everything

When I played the MSQ, I was ok with Koana, but he wasn't my favorite. Then watching you and others play through it, he easily became my favorite new character. This patch just solidified that. What a nerdy little badass.
