From what I heard, Lewis hadn’t decommitted. He was playing games between SC and Colorado but hadn’t made the move yet. Apparently Lincoln Riley completed his negotiations with Longstreet and then called Lewis, letting him know that USC was moving in a different direction. In short, it was Riley who “decommitted” from the Lewis relationship. This is only how I see it; I’m curious to see if others disagree with this perspective or agree with it…

It might even be something if they could even get a pro oc like Josh McDaniel that was on the Pat's team he was really good there but when he went out on his own as a HC it didn't go as well for him we all know, but I for one believe he would really love the challenge and the feeling of being in a really good and great history of being associated with a top of the line football team that is filled with spirits and fights and fires burning inside of them to bring out their best just like our softball team and coaches, all people knows of them coach gasso's bunch the ones that are the only ones to win four world series and that are going to win our fifth one next year, come on people we are the SOONERS the one and only, bring them back to GLORY and we can do that

I get CU has sucked for 15+ years, but this type of success isn't new to Colorado. CU used to be a perennial top 25 team, top 25 all time in wins, a national championship, heisman, Thorpe winners... The administration & Regents became anti football, which caused our demise. Now that we have a pro football admin & regents, Colorado is returning to where we used to be. I should say that Coach Prime did accelerate the process, but it would have happened with the changes made to CU transfer rules and other things CU did in order to make it possible for us to even hire Coach Prime.

I think you guys are right, however the elephant in the room is hiring an offensive line coach that can attract and develop offensive linemen. QB’s are only as good as as people that can pass protect, and if Riley doesn’t start wasting the talent of RB’s with his offensive line and not having a run game to lean on in the Big-10 his ship is going to sink. It’s a defensive heavy conference gotta adjust direction and culture to survive!
