I’m 24 and feeling a bit lost! I’m appreciative for my first son who was born at 28 weeks and I watched him fight for his life. My Dr. said he may not pull through but they will try everything to keep him alive. He is now 3 and you can’t even tell he was a preemie. My OB said that my next would most likely be born a preemie but he made it to 37 weeks and is a healthy 1 1/2 year old now. My most difficult time was deciding to leave my ex husband 3 years ago. Realizing it was the best year of my life I escaped the abuse after 6 years (I was 16 and he was 26.) After he moved back into his mom’s house it hit me no more abuse and I’m free. It’s been almost 3 years divorced (the best 3 years of my life!) Career wise I feel lost. I relied on dancing and adult content for money, I’m ready to be free from it. I want to feel like I’m more than just a body or empty shell.

@@HaydenHumphrey ahh thank you, I honestly didn’t expect a comment back. Thank you for your video it gave me a different perspective on life. Social media really has a habit of making someone feel behind in life. I’m trying to understand and cope with we all are on our own journey. Comparing myself to others isn’t living my own life, it’s trying to live in the shadow of someone else’s. Career wise I’m trying, I just don’t want to work a “traditional” job. I hate being underneath someone that controls how much free time I have with my children. But thank you so much for responding and have a good weekend! 😊

Things I've been learning lately: comparison is definitely not a safe place, people have different contexts and stories, and people don't care with our progress as much as we think they do... realizing those things has been giving me the opportunity to live a more balanced and peaceful life in my 20's! So I fully agree with ur tips! Thnks for this video! 🔥

Comparison is a big part of advertising and mass media, which informs the way we function on the street and in the workplace . Watching commercials, action movies and Romance flicks with actors who are sexier, smarter, tougher and slicker than us teaches us to feel we are not enough from a very young age. This leads to depression, rage, a loss of willpower and it also leads to massive envy. To say nothing about what happens starting in kindergarten all the way up to senior graduation in highschool. We're taught in a consumer culture that buying tons of stuff, getting "good grades" (instead of learning useful craft & labor skills), flexing our status within the system and scoring perfect peer conformity is "success", instead of honoring contentment, family values and the passing down of strong legacies to our kids. Were trained to become narcissistic, mentally ill, passive, guilty and delusional, not realistic, determined, resilient and sane. I unplugged from Television for a while now and never use (and could never get why anyone in their right mind would use) most popular social media apps like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. It helped me find so much peace of mind. I'd say try getting out to nature more and try getting back into reading, even if it's only for 30 minutes a day, to increase your attention span and your thinking capacity is helpful. Read books that you personally enjoy and that benefit you spiritually and even financially. Share your knowledge with others face to face, those who you actually trust. Most people don't care about humbly learning new things, they've been trained out of common sense, so don't cast your pearls before swine, as the saying goes. Once you realize the corporate culture you live in is in a psychological war against you, your family and your self worth so it can make money off of your brokenness, then you'll see that all you have to do is unplug from the message that your TV set, your peers and your parents say, which is: "You are not enough if you don't buy X, Y, & Z. You must marry at this age, earn these degrees & licenses, have a house in the suburbs with this square footage, have this type of car and have this income or you are a worthless and weak loser." True winners set the standards for their own success. It is between them and God. The true losers allow others to dictate how they think, walk, talk and act on a second to second basis. A society that sets its own people up for a quarter and mid life crisis isn't very sustainable, obviously. Were not evolved to live in oversized metropolises and run on miserable wage treadmills to please peer groups, middle managers and corporate CEOS, were born to be free, moral, self determining and self reliant people who can defend their rights, have their own land, cultivate that land and to raise tough families who will not be pushed around by big business and big government into living standard issue, mass produced lies that don't fit who they are.

@@HaydenHumphrey I wish people at 20 years old can say that they are still young and can still dream. You've got roughly 50-60 maybe even 70 years left of your life left on this planet and the clock is ticking. In your 20s you just have a lot of time. It's not over by any means. Sure, you're either in university or have just graduated, going to an either fulfulling or unfulfilling 9-5 job or whatever that time is for the next 30-40 years, retire at 60 or 65 and die. I'm 22 years old now and I think I am still young and I can still dream, yes it goes quick and I'll be 30 in a blink of an eye.

Once again, great video! I’ve been focusing on constructing my social circle the most in the past few years. You can learn a lot from other people, and it can give you a boost of confidence to know that you have friends who have your back. You can also have access to more opportunities the more people you meet. Here are some tips I give people when they ask me, "Fuschia, how do you stay so happy all the time?" (I've gotten that a lot!) Focus on what you CAN do and what you CAN change. If there is something you find impossible, or something doesn’t work out as you hoped, it’s not meant to be. Why get yourself worked up about something you can’t change? Find what you can do, and do it. I also tell them to realize it’s impossible to stay happy 100% of the time. Accept those waves of anger, sadness, frustration, etc. because they come along with signing the "being a normal human being" contract. Let yourself feel whatever you need to feel, but don’t allow yourself to stay low forever. Pick yourself up again and do something about it, or distract yourself. Life will constantly deal you cards, some good, some bad. The greatest challenge is when you’re dealt an awful hand and you want to remain "happy." Is it always possible? Maybe not. But focusing on the good and what you’re grateful for is a great start. Even if it’s the smallest thing. Whenever life slaps me in the face big time, I work extra hard to look for the treasures that make life worth living. That’s what IS truly possible.

I really needed to see this today. I often feel lost, and I'm late 30s. Although I have success in some parts of my life, I feel behind in others. Not only is this in comparison to friends and family, but I feel the social pressure at my age to get a move on with certain things (like starting a family, having more wealth). It bothers the hell out of me because in my early 20s I had achieved what I wanted to growing up. You know when kids are asked what they want to be when they grow up, and it's usually something pretty crazy or near unattainable? Well, I did it. And even cut it short having ticked that box. I've struggled to keep the same sort of motivation with things since.. I know I can achieve almost anything I want...just not really sure WHAT I'm working towards day-to-day.

Thanks for sharing friend. Totally understand where you're at. And at the very least, you're aware of it! Which is always the first step. If you don't already, I'd highly suggest a journaling practice of some sort. Really helps to get your thoughts in one centralized place. Then you can start to see patterns, common behaviors, things that might be getting in your way, etc. Thanks for watching and sharing!

@@Ev-eq8zn Totally, actually made a video about it last year: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIDJgKuBiKeleZI Overall though I think the most important thing is just getting into the habit of writing something down about how you're feeling/thinking everyday. To me, lack of clarity or feeling lost comes from being out of touch with ourselves and our desires, and journaling is like having a conversation with yourself - it can help you reconnect with what you want most. Hope that's helpful! Keep me in the loop on how it's all going 👏🏻
