Wow this was amazing! And poor thing he seriously has been through so much and y'know before all the "Sophie shipping crap" i liked him a lot as a character but then unfortunately got lost in the shipping wars. To be fair, I've grown up on this series and I'm older now and know more about mental health. So i definitely started seeing his anger as more of a trauma repsone, so it makes a lot more sense. Really wish that Shannon Messenger would address this better. As always amazing animatic! I really enjoy watching them, and i love all the symbolism you use as well, you are super creative! 🥰💖

I got into the series when I was older and never understood why people were being such jerks because I fully saw all the psychological stuff (I seriously gaslit myself into thinking something was wrong with me because I liked Fitz) I hated the stupid “shipping wars”. All I saw in it was a girl comparing two boys like they were Gatorade flavors and both of them going through a time of severe psychological distress. And then it only focused on Keefe- Made me finally realize Shannon didn’t give a crap (and if she did, she wasn’t doing much about it) and it made me so upset- Thank you!

The EXPRESSIONS, WOWIE!!! You broke my heart and tugged on all its strings, and I’m officially adopting Fitz solely to give him a big hug and a plate of mallowmelt every day. Fitz's adorable smile at the beginning! AAAAWWW!!!! 🥺🥺🥺 But seeing him smile like that and knowing what comes next... 😭😭😭 "The royal life isn't what I planned." This line actually makes so much sense because the Vackers are considered elven royalty to some degree, but underneath their (formerly) perfect reputation, there are many dark secrets- the Vacker legacy, the trolls Alvar joining the Neverseen, Alden's... less than ideal decisions. Being a Vacker was nothing like it was supposed to be. The royal life didn't go as planned. And at 1:25 the transition from a joyful smile to a horrified realization... oh my gosh. The animation of the hands grabbing him is so smooth! But then when Fitz looks at the hands and then at someone else (probably Sophie or Alden, maybe even Alvar) and he's so confused and shocked and betrayed... it's so heart-breaking!!!! GAH!!! The art is so good though. And then when the chains and hands start to shove him around and literally pull his hair... dang that is intense. And the very last frame... Fitz standing, crying, posture stiff and expression horrified, with the gold bindings and purple hands tightly wrapped around him... what a finale. The silence at the end hits hard. I'm guessing the golden color of the bindings has something to do with the Vacker family specifically, because the color is also used for the wings that go with the his family's crest and write out the word Vacker. There's so many ways at to which his family could be considered the chains: the Vacker legacy, reputation and expectations. But the yellow color is also used for Sophie's cognate ring as well... which makes sense in a way. Then there's teal, Fitz's signature color, being used for his name, his ring and his tears. The first two make total sense, as for the tears... is this perhaps because his anguish is a true part of him? I really like how the same colors are repeated; it adds the the emotional impact of this animatic. Great job on this!!!!! This is really amazing!!!

Ahhh this is so good! I think you single handedly changed my entire opinion on Fitz with the original animatic and just WOW the improvement especially with the expressions!!! I love the purple hands and Fitz's expression at the beginning with "I can't even begin to think about how I compete with you all. Oh wait, like this:" Also a quick theory on why it's from the live performance: Fitz feels like his life is always on display for everyone to watch. Everyone is watching everything go down in his life but they're watching it live. Edit: and the reason for the applause being cut out could be because nobody is on Fitz's side. People in cannon and fans outside of cannon judge Fitz so there's no applause.

*Flashes my theory glasses, anime style* Here we go! (I hope this isn't too much) I can see the teal motif remains, as does Fitz and his wings, which is excellent. I also noticed a lot more blue and yellow than normal- does that represent Sophie and Keefe? The puppet strings represent him... well, being a puppet to the "Vacker Legacy." I think the purple in the title may also represent the Vackers being like the "royalty" of the Elvin world, and the hands being purple tie symbolize all the impossible standards that come with that, pulling him in every direction, but maybe that's just me reading too much until things😅 As for why you chose the live performance and cut the applause, I think I figured it out! Like I said, the Vackers are the royalty of the Elvin world. Fitz, the so called "golden child," has been put on a pedestal with all these unrealistic expectations. But suddenly, Sophie comes in and not only lives up to the impossible standards Fitz has been held to his whole life, but *exceeds them.* Now, there's no more applause. Just a boy whose been taught to perform his whole life, but doesn't have an audience anymore. But hey, that's just a theory... *A KOTLC THEOR-*

Oooh, I love Biana with short hair! Also, now that I think about it, Hamilton and Sophie have a lot in common. They're both very impulsive and somewhat reckless. Though they both want to do the right thing they can sometimes be blind to how other's are feeling, and even disregard all criticism they face on certain endeavors due to the belief that they are right. Your AU seems so cool! I am very confused on what's going on right now, but I am excited to see more.

I love the idea of characters in KOTLC being coded into things like autism and adhd, but I can understand why Shannon doesn’t want to fully say out loud as 1. It might put her in a bad place if she accidentally does something wrong and 2. It puts the characters in a box and kind of limits headcanons It’s nice having the freedom of headcanons in my opinion (For example: I headcanon Fitz as OCD. I have no reason to besides little things I’ve seen him do-but I headcanon it because I have OCD and I wanted to relate to him more lol)

Shannon really sucks at writing characters (No offense Shannon) I have a Band/Human AU and I hc Stina as Christian lol, am I the only one who sees that??? She's srsly gorgeous and as a matter of fact she's actually one of the only people with a diverse body type??? Stina is described as "Pole like" (aka rlly skinny) and then there's like no other body types??? (Forkle lmao) Marella was also a little diverse ig? She was called short and pixie like but srsly! Nobody is tan in the lost cities for some reason?? I feel like Edaline and Grady would also get a tan from labour!

I really don’t think Shannon thinks about character design lol- I feel like she just defaults to “write what you know” subconsciously and ends up describing a character with pale skin and/or blonde hair She’s getting better tho-thank goodness-

IMMA MAKE A THEORY LIKE MATPAD IM BOUTTA COOK🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥 So basically the lyrics say "Tax the alcohol" which means there is perhaps a limit on something??? Unless she's talking about how Sophie's decisions are getting more and more rash and less reasonable as the theories progress till something happens to Biana, which IS very similar to cannon. At the end Sophie asks Biana not to slander her through her "Step father" which could be a word used to sub in for her decisions. I theorize that what Sophie mean was that she didn't want Biana judging her actions.

I would've never thought of Schuyler defeated this is such a cool animatic also I love the outfits sm (Biana's flower specifically) Here are my far fetched theories: Not an evil Biana AU but maybe a Biana joins the Neverseen AU? That could explain why she cut her hair short because of the Neverseen cloaks. Maybe she joined he Neverseen because she believed she could be a spy using her invisible abilities. (I can not remember the actual name of it for the life of me lol.) And maybe Elisa would be Keefe or Dex.
