You CAN steal stuff, but it will take you a LONG time before you can actually sell it. You really don't NEED to steal as there is so MUCH LOOT in the game. Dint sell ingredients because you wont get much for them and they are better used to make valuable and useful positions.

I love your content, and I'm a long-time subscriber to your channel, although I don't comment a lot, I absorb a lot of information you graciously deal. What really confuses me is how to do the "Journey" steps. What I mean is that you have to be a certain level to advance the steps of the journeys. If it's not too hard to do, can you provide us a guide on how to advance the journeys as we advance in levels? I continually find myself trying to juggle all the steps of the journeys as I level up. There are one of two ways you can play magic in Skyrim as a beginner: Nerf the difficulty down into oblivion, or prepare yourself to read some guides on the wonky way the skyrim magic system works. Otherwise, you're gonna suffer for a long time until you learn, and your progress is gonna be ridiculously slow.

well I don't know about most players not knowing about these caves, unless most player don't complete their sorcery to max level. because you have to go there if you want to unlock teleportation. But before age of sorcery I had played for about 2 years and never had been to them, just because there isnt that much reason other then black blood tools.

Man I missed this game. I’ve been dying to play this game. I can’t afford to get ultimate and I can’t afford to buy the game now. I used to play this game every day when I could afford the ultimate but now I’m taking care of my mom with dementia and I really don’t have money for anything so I play what I can when I can. It's always very jerky to watch someone playing with mouse and not as smooth as with controller but that's just what it's like. The game looks pretty much the same as in vanilla just a little brighter and crisper. Lol I think survival will come later when you are a bit more familiar with game.

Welcome to Skyrim, one of my favorite games. It's nice to see a new player with fresh outlooks. It's enjoyable to watch a new player who stumbles through all of the (to them) mistakes and triumphs that make the game so enjoyable. After many many playthroughs, I had to go to mods to keep it fresh. Enjoy. I know I did.

The spell tomes: you should read them! Remember with items you don't want, the value PER WEIGHT unit is what makes them worth picking up. Things like buckets, kettles and tankards are useless and not worth much for the weight. Don't pick them up and sell any you have. Carrying useless junk will fill up your capacity which will painfully slow you down a LOT until you get rid of some. You can always drop it, but don't do it in front of a guard - they don't like littering! Best not pick up junk like cheap clothing and household items in the first place. Armour and weapons are heavy, there's no point keeping ones you don't use. Sell everything you don't want when you have the chance - your carrying capacity is very limited. With armour, just keep (and equip) the ones with the best armour rating. Light armour is preferable as heavy armour slows you down a lot. More than 90% of that stuff you picked up in Gurdur's house was useless and really burdened you badly.. Picking up too much food before you have a place to store it is not a good idea either. You're picking up everything. You REALLY shouldn't! When you explore any ruins etc, there'll be a lot more loot there than you can carry, which will be worth FAR more than the rubbish you are picking up. BTW taking followers is usually a bad idea. Faendel is FAR more useful as an archery trainer than getting him killed as a follower. When he is your friend, you can pay him to train you, then swap items with him and just take the money back!

Skyrim's survival mode is pretty forgiving compared to many survival games, so I think you should consider giving it a go. Can always turn it off again if you aren't enjoying it. The main impact is the reduced carry weight - but you've stumbled upon one of the strongest early game advantages (acquiring Faendal as a follower) so now you can fill up his inventory with useless junk instead of your own! 😉 Just remember not to yoink his gear along with your own loot when you go to sell, otherwise he won't be much help to you beyond a talking pack mule haha. Don't feel rushed to complete anything you come across in your travels, not even the main quest. You will accumulate things to do far faster than you're able to complete them. Take your time, explore, experiment, putter around with anything that looks interesting to you. The best part of this game is getting lost in random dungeons you stumble across while exploring the wilds, or investigating a conspiracy you uncover by reading someone's mail while snooping around their house. The major quests are honestly pretty mediocre as far as RPGs go; it's all of the tiny details that make Skyrim a beloved world.

Eat each ingredient one time to find out what they do. Combine them to make potions. Alchemy in Skyrim is powerful. You got lucky with the Alchemy Lab combining a couple, and found out what they do. Each unknown ingredient will say “unknown” four times until you eat each one, or get lucky combining. Later there is a skill tree perk in Alchemy that tells you what the other “unknowns” are, unless you get lucky a few times. When you level up, put points into Stamina to increase your “carry weight,” by ten points each time. Points into Health or Magicka are less necessary if you make and carry potions. You will loot them, you’ll see. All those potions and loot get heavy. You will level up Alchemy by making potions.

Skyrim belongs to the Nords, just sayin. You will probably hear that more than once. Have fun.
