Living Settlements FINALLY Fixed? - Conan Exiles Age of Heroes

3 weeks is a pretty longtime for a hotfix. when your entire age's main features are broken...it shows a lack of support for the game in a timely manner and it's a reactive way of thinking instead of stress testing proactively. I'm not very confident in Funcom since Age of war. Time will tell how the support cycles will be run.

They never fix anything and they got rid of the battle pass. I don't know how much longer Funcom will continue to support this game at all.

If I wasn't able to build awesome bases and outposts I would have stopped playing Conan Exiles years ago. The bugs and lack of support along with the lack of communication would have driven me away.

So I went looking for you as soon as I discovered it this afternoon to post it here first for testing. In the patch notes or something else i never read but was told about they said they stopped you from mining crystals. I can report with this latest patch they must have missed that memo. I was attacking a spider for icor and hit one and saw it bring up a ton of crystals. So I tried it again and it works. it didn't work on individual crystals that I found but bundled ones gave me fantasic results. I left that cave with more then me and the thrall could carry. Just something I found today

Thank you for bringing us news of the hotfix! Sadly it was obvious that the new age was going to be terrible. I have not logged in since just before the new age dropped as I was waiting to see if it was going to be a disaster as expected and Funcom did not disappoint on that front. I still haven't logged in, as I am waiting for a bit more play testing of the new "fix" to see if it actually did work or what else they broke in the process of implementing the new fix. I also only really play the game modded so modpocalypse made me lol!

well i still cant log onto singleplayer on steam. so thats fun. i can test a bit on windows xbox version. but i would like access to my game that i could before the "fix"

The "fix" has now somehow killed two of my crafters and one according to logs was killed by myself which really has me scratching my head.

Tier 3 Smelter Thrall disappeared while he was sitting at the smelter, disabled from free walking around. Went out on a mission, came back and he was gone,...doesn't show up under my "thrall inventory list"....

I've been praying to Crom for this hotfix, then i realised Crom cares not from the wants of us mortals. Should have stuck with Ymir 😂. All seriousness tho surely there should have been some inkling in the Beta test that this was going to happen

haha croms poxy balls! im fairly sure they did. i seen some sus stuff just reacting to the dev stream. didnt see much while i was playing beta, but i heard many did., and some tried to report. but funcom cared not it would seem

So far so good with the hotfix it solved a few issues it seems but we'll have to wait and see because it's only been a few days. I would like to see something about all the crafters people lost too though. If they can't be returned then how about a free headstone or outfit to make up for the time people put into capturing and training those crafters and lost because of a poorly tested update.

It's unfortunately still broken for private server owners. many many people cannot log into their private servers at all. Or it takes several hours to boot up.

I haven't fallen through my base floors in a week of playing, just lucky or did we get a stealth fix for this bug. The meteors are back to giving off smoke again, which is nice, hope they keep it around, there was no reason for them to take it away to begin with.

Unfortunately, it still happens, much less frequently than before, and we continue to experience moonwalk combat animations and errors during fatalities in dungeons.

i think you just got lucky. like those who had no thralls run away this past month. yeah sometimes they change stuff and it just leaves me shaking my head. but good to know i can easily spot the star metal again!

I don't like Living Settlements in the state they are in now. Usually all of my workbenches are empty and the Crafters are all standing on tables somewhere like party animals. I'd prefer them at their stations rather than the mess it is now even with the patch. I am enjoying Freya's hero quest but the repeated forced 8 hours breaks does take out some of the fun. Thralls and my character still sink into foundations. I find I'm really wishing for good proper thorough fixes and nothing else. There is a great game here, it's just hard to see.

This game is being removed from game pass on xbox on the 30th of this month(November 24) now i am afraid that could finish the games player base off. I personally love it, the same way kids love Minecraft but i can not see many of those that play because it is on the game pass buying the game when it is removed with the drama being raw at the time of removal 🤷

yeah i seen that..... im pretty annoyed cause i actually have to use the gamepass version atm as i cant get on single player to do guides or my series.. and yeah its just going to eat away at more of the remaining player base. i suppose a few will buy but a great deal will let it rott with how its been preforming recently

Please don't beat up the game devs conan exiles was funcoms way to avoid bankruptcy so be mindful of that and the gaming world is CHANGING you need funds to do things like this which they have been struggling with cuz their community not hating on the community but you guys bash it badly so if it dies please don't be mad nor sad I love this game I played EVEN with the damn bugs understand that everyone could be struggling even big companies so anything is good for me as long as it doesn't die like anthem did I'm happy.

I feel like the old saying applies... "Criticism when criticism is due". If they are going bankrupt maybe it's because they repeatedly shat the bed and players are reaching the limit of their patience. I know I'm getting sick and tired of having to constantly monitor and equip crafters that keep dying mysteriously or vanishing and their so-called fix has already gotten 3 of my crafters killed. Nobody asked for living settlements. It makes no sense at all. They could work on a new map or add dungeons, but they choose to do insignificant things like this that waste the time of those who actually play the game.

@@yojimbe1 well actually it does make since the living settlements is away to help pve players with a role play function without the aid of mods especially on consoles that do not allow mods for conan exiles like Xbox and Playstation those systems companies would have to pop out multiple software updates to handle the mods that the PC version has been getting and I'm not the only one that likes to play a game without mods there are lots of players like myself that want to enjoy the game before playing it with even a single mod
