When I got my 3 day old chicks I introduced them to my dogs, they are Jack Russell mixes and love the chickens, they don’t even chase them, I told the dogs that they were their babies.

These are the same people that sit in their running cars at a McDonald's drive thru and pay 12.00 for a "Crap Mac"...it's all about me,me,me,and now, now, now, while I bow to my cell phone and answer my text messages then blow thru a red light at a intersection to go to Walmart.....Because turkey shells are thicker 😂😂😂😂

why dont we drink hot woman female milk and instead drink cow milk? that is regardless if the cow is "hot" or not to other cows.

When I was a kid, my father always bought a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas directly from the farm. He would pick a live turkey and the farmer would decapitate it and hang it to drain the blood for an hour before it was brought home. The turkey would then be plucked and cleaned at home. During that process, several eggs were often discovered within. Dad always saved the eggs and enjoyed them for breakfast the next morning. The rest of the family never indulged in the eggs. They were Dad's treat for the hard work of plucking, cleaning and cooking the turkey. We never said grace at the table without giving a special "thank you" to the turkey.
I’ve ate them a lot. They are just a little richer than chicken eggs but still very delicious. And the before commenter is correct the membranes are thicker.

I built my coop with pig penwire and qtr inch hardware cloth on a concrete slab and a tin roof. Added bracing and supports until I felt I would feel safe in there if surrounded by zombies. It's a good benchmark for construction standards and keeps like a little more whimsical and exciting.

Something he did not cover is how are they gonna reproduce if you only bought mealworm and bought no beatles?? And where do you buy the actual Beatles since you need them to lay eggs and have a emediate start?? Other wise you will be waiting 3 months to feed your chickens and by that time you would of spent $135 in mealworm for every 12 chickens.

I love my Red she's the smartest of the bunch. She is second in command. She is not mean or bossy. My girls get along just fine. She doesn't like our kittens coming near her, she gently lets them know to give her space and it's fine. I think if you are having problems with aggression you might want to reconsider your chicken keeping practices. They probably need more room.

We have been trained to accept only factory food. Eggs must be unfertilized, uniform in size and color, and washed. So they're produced in egg factories by white chickens working in their cubicles. If you prefer brown eggs, you can have chickens of color working in their cubicles (There are a few chickens of color that produce white eggs, too). If they're free range they don't have cubicles and perhaps no air conditioning. In other countries, they don't wash the eggs, and can keep them without refrigeration. We like ours washed, factory fresh and refrigerated.

I need help please. I already have 9’hens .. recently got 4 chicks to add to my flock. Three months in and we are down to one! I have no idea why the other three passed away. The one I have left is too small to integrate to the larger flock I think I am scared I will lose her now too! This is the third time we have gotten chicks other two times no issue we are heartbroken

They passed away like they were just normal and at the next moment they were dead?, if it is like that, you should check if they had a sickness or something. Once, i heared that theres a bug that could be on the chick, hens, or roosters. To get rid of that bug, the chickens have to clean themselves in ashes.

The first baby we lost was sickly but the other two seemed fine, no symptoms one passed in the middle of the day and the other overnight. I am worried the last one will die from being alone now

We had a turkey hen a few years ago that laid eggs pretty frequently. One Saturday morning the kids brought me breakfast. It was a good looking puffy oven pancake. It was really good. The kids kept looking at me funny after I ate it. Apparently they were expecting that puffy oven pancake to put me to sleep because it was made out of turkey eggs! They were attempting to get out of Saturday chores.

lol my male rottweiler raised and cleaned up after my baby chicks. we had our neighbor’s puppies behind our house, sneak under the fence and chase our (now grown chickens) all around the yard. my rottie cornered the 2 puppies and corrected them, they were so scared 😭. (they were returned safely to their owners !) he also gets along with our bunnies aswell

I use a chicken tractor and move it around the yard. So they have access to bugs and fresh grass daily.
