Thank you Wendy, I’ve made four hats in total now. I used two hook sizes and two yarn weights. The best fit on the doll is the 4ply yarn and 4mm hook. I will show it next time. I really appreciate your suggestion.

Thank you for the suggestion Christine, in the dressmaking world, I’ve seen the term vent for a spilt at the bottom back of a suit jacket. I’ve done a bit of research, since the video and I’ve seen this sort of thing on a trench coat, and they call it a coat back flap/yoke flap. I will still continue my research.

You know I was going back-and-forth with the dolls because over the last year I purchased quite a few dolls and like you I need to rea l that in (i am fairly new to blythe collecting probably hoing on my third year i think) and I don't really tend to like the goth dolls although they do have cool outfits. I like the fair skin, light colored or fantasy hair, but I also have a few brunette girls with They're stunning so I always go with the light skin dolls though and then well I do have 1 tan girl which I love but once I saw a few of the videos I realized I have to have Lavandula so I ordered her after I ordered Kita i think the back vent is the long vertical slit for extra space in walking movement in trench coats. The storm shield is the extra fabric on a coat
