I love Rainy Day Parade. You have dressed her so adorable. I love the red gingham with the denim. She is precious. Thank you for sharing her with us again. Love her red shoes too! BTW I have heard about "Hot Frosty" from my daughter. I laughed out loud as she explained about the fellow in the movie. You youngsters are so funny. Good luck with the shirt pattern. I know you will turn out another perfect piece. 😊☃⛄

Thank you so much Elizabeth, I hope the fabric for my husband short hasn’t ran out, when I go back next week. I love Rainy day Parade doll. I’m so happy that I managed to get her. I am sure that your daughter enjoyed the movie. x

Did you know that that plaid is called “Black Watch plaid”! Yes! It’s so niiice! Making men’s shirts isn’t difficult, I’ve made many for my husband and brothers and son! Lots of Hawaiian shirts too! I can’t wait to see them!

Thank you so much Gina. I learnt the word Plaid from a Blythe doll called Plaid Parade. English speaking countries outside the United States, plaid is often called Tartan. But I’ve sometimes started using it too.

I imagine it's actually pretty hard to fit clothes on to yourself rather than fitting them on other people, I'd probably end up like a human pin cushion if I tried! I think it's a really cute idea to have yourself and your husband in matching patterns for Christmas day, although I have seen them making shirts on Sewing Bee and it feels a bit mind boggling. Also many thanks for the tip on how to open advent windows without struggling, I actually think people enjoy watching me struggle on my channel, I used to always show myself unboxing dolls but stopped including the actual unboxing footage because it made the videos super long and a few subscribers said they missed watching me struggle with all the packaging 😂

@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis Ha ha, that’s so nice of your subscribers to say. I think it’s quite funny to leave in mishaps in videos.

Gosh that is such a large amount of fabric for sleeves. Could you make a sleeve toile out of some cheaper fabric, or even an old sheet, and see what it’s like? Poor Jack, hope he’s feeling better. ❤

@@Shazdog123 Thank you Sharon, Jack was coughing last night, I can hear him coughing now. The doctor says he has a virus, and no infection. I thought about scrap fabric for sleeve and bodice toile, but I put loads of stuff in the loft for the renovation, not sure I have anything.

BeBe sure to check the yardage requirements on the shirt pattern for your husband before ordering fabric. I just finished making a shirt for my son, who is quite tall, and I was shocked at how much fabric I needed. I am average height for a woman, and my son’s shirt front pattern piece (after altering for his height) came to my knees! I’d purchased a little extra to accommodate his height, and I am so glad I did. I don’t know what height the McCall’s patterns are drafted for, but Burda drafts for a man who is 5’11”. The length was just a bit of a shock since I am used to sewing for myself. I hope your dress comes out just the way you are envisioning it.

@@nadinewoods6971 Thank you so much Nadine. I haven’t bought fabric for him yet, so thank you for the heads up. I was planning on lengthening the pattern for him, as he is over 6 foot.
