Just had a fitting and was always a callaway guy but figured while I was looking go try to get fitted and see what happened. Almost from the start callaway ai smoke was so much different than the maverik I was playing it for me was almost unpredictable. High low right left never really got it figured out. But hit them all and ended with the Taylor made Qi 10 and it hit better than the mavrik. Shaft and loft has to fit and it makes the hit off the tee so much more enjoyable.

I can't help but think, that swing speed of 112- 115 mph should be at least 15 yards further than he has been hitting it at least at this point in the video, about 7 minutes in. With a really good driver like that, he should be hitting it 300+ yds in normal conditions with a good golf ball at the swing speed it's been showing so far.

I've been playing with the same club but 10.5 loft, Im a 20 hcp. I've found out that by hitting it about 80% power I can control a tight dispersion pattern. Sadly the head finally got a Crack in it. Got fitted for a new driver (first time ever getting a fitting) tried several new drivers G430 Max, Darkspeed, Qi10 - got a little more distance but the tightest pattern 100% fairway hits was with my old King Cobra! I ended up ordering the G430 max but I'm gonna have to work with it to get the tight dispersion pattern I had with my old Cobra. Fitter said week before he had the same issues trying to fit another golfer with an old King Cobra - new clubs weren't helping him much either. The old one was hard to beat!

Crazy how Brand Loyalty can affect your striking or mindset. I still believe that the Cobra Darkspeed is a missed opportunity for most fitters. Just came to Darkspeed after hitting a Sim2max for 4 years, loved the Sim2max, but found the Darkspeed a better club. Couldnt even hit a Ping or Calaway worth a shat. Qi10 felt and preformed same as my Sim2, so didnt go that route.

I swing it around 95-100 but it takes a few to get there. Currently playing a TM stealth2 HD on a Kai’Li Red 60S… but the ‘fitting’ was from just shy of two years ago before I started back. Swinging it better now, however. Consistency of strike is my issue. Been tinkering with the original Callaway Rogue ST MAX LS on a Tensei White 75S and having a blast with it… Have been reading a lot about the 10K and the AI Smoke Max, and can’t decide. Fitting this week for a completely new set…
