I understand, advertising, sponsor... But in reality, the car body, leaves on trees - all this takes the signal. Italian MIDLAND GB1-R, with an antenna on the roof and 0.5 Watt on the roof, will do more than 5 Watt digital car. And outside, to the backpack usually Motorola with USB C and you can play in the forest with Power bank for a few days.

Yes, let's see some wind and snow now ! 🙂 I wonder if you would get much heat from that stove while you are in the sleep pod area. I've camped/tented in some cold conditions and found an electric blanket works much better than a space heater.

Bring on the snow. 😁 We don’t use the stove when we are sleeping for safety reasons, but an electric blanket is a great alternative.

We mostly used items we already had in the garage, so the total cost was minimal. If you’re starting from scratch, it would depend on the materials you choose.

Any suggestions on how to make the stove jack better. Looks like the material will get burnt
@ExploreTrekAdventure13 күн бұрын
The stove jack itself is fine and fire proof but do take care to strap down the stove jack flap. We add a tie down to the stove jack flap to make sure it cannot go anywhere.

@kevinbrown626118 күн бұрын
Try a Jetboil burner and accessories for the jet boil skillet - they are designed together for faster cooking - your burner uses a lot of fuel as it’s inefficient and open to wind. The jet boil cooking pan might be better for your meal too as it’s got the specially designed base to direct the heat to the pan and not the air around it :0)

I have tent camped and car camped with complete basics. Very uncomfortable but great to be out in nature. Over time I added to my camping life, and I can tell you a good nights sleep pain free in the morning makes for a more enjoyable experience. I don't care now about camping with the basics, did that for a very long time, as you get older, reality is you need more chusioning. I carry luxury items on car or tent camps and have the best time, so.much so even if my power and food is low I will on many occasions do another night. Just because it is so much more easier to just go with the flow. I don’t have a electric blanket or pad for camping, but I do have a cut to size foldable memory mattress for my tent or car camping, 12 volt kettle and other things that make you more relaxed. If it is called cheating, oh well. I pwid my dues and I am sure you both have too. Great video. Enjoyed it. I will be looking at the electric blanket. My little Jackery needs to be put more to use. Uk female solo camper

Thanks for sharing your camping journey! It's great that you've found ways to make your trips more comfortable and enjoyable over time, whether that's with a memory foam mattress or other "luxury" items. Prioritizing your needs as you get older is smart - being in nature should be relaxing, not unnecessarily uncomfortable. Glad you found the video helpful, and wishing you many more wonderful camping adventures ahead! 😀🏕️

It’s an interesting niche with the built in battery and adjustable lamp head. But for that money, I feel like the Devos Lightranger with a battery pack would be a more durable option. True, the Outask is compact, grab and go, has the magnetic base and the flashlight option. But its primary use will be for campsite area light, which the Lightranger is more suited for. And when the lithium battery stops holding a charge, the Outask will be a $150 paperweight (maybe a clothes hook?). The concept is cool, though!
@ExploreTrekAdventure18 күн бұрын
Solid points on the Outask vs Lightranger tradeoffs. The Lightranger's durability for campsite use is a good consideration versus the Outask's portability perks.

The lamp is far too expensive for the performance it offers. The tripod base alone takes up 2/3 of the size.
@ExploreTrekAdventure24 күн бұрын
If you could suggest improvements for better performance, what would you like to see-more battery life, brighter light, longer runtime, or something else? We were happy with its performance, though it would always be nice to see a lower price. 😀
