Hi, I sell the pattern in my Etsy shop here etsy.me/38m1DFn I just used fabrics I had on hand. I like flannel for the top, towelling for the inner and a cotton fabric for the backing. If you are using for periods you are advised to use something waterproof as the backing like PUL fabric.

Have you looked at some of the Torq screw sets? I just did a google search for ‘different screw head types’ and found an image with names of screw heads. You would then be able to buy the corresponding screwdriver. Good luck with your search.

No, you do not put oil into the bobbin race chamber but you can put a drop on the hook in there..also never remove the needle plate when the "straight stitch" lever is engaged or it will break the automatic thread cutting mechanism...you didn't do that, just FYI

Are u able to adjust the length of the thread when it cuts? It seems a bit long and doesn't leave a clean finish underneath the fabric. I must not be doing something right. Great video!
@FrutejuceHandmade3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about that actually. I get the same when I use the auto cutter. Then when I start to sew again there is a tiny nest of thread. Not keen on that.
@tq34173 жыл бұрын
@@FrutejuceHandmade yes! My same experience, I get so irritated by it because my old Singer Quantum had clean cutting. I make face masks and look for a clean finish but unfortunately not really achieving that haha.

I just did a little googling and one thing said that when it is serviced the tech should be able to change the length of the thread tail. Not sure how true that is. You might get better help from some of the Juki Facebook groups though.

@tidybaby39593 жыл бұрын
If your machine starts becoming loud then you need to clean the needle bar and foot bar area...and place one drop of oil on the moving joints...There are 2 screws to remove one on the side and on the back...I tape the screws onto the part I'm removing

plan to get the juki -hzl dx7 sewing machine this weekend after some testing in the shop, but now I have my doubts about buying it! Seen a video with presser foot problems? Are you still satisfied with the juki hzl-dx7? Or are other users of the juki hzl-dx7 machine still satisfied? I like to hear it! Thanks in advance! ☺
@FrutejuceHandmade4 жыл бұрын
It is a fine machine. It can do pretty much anything I throw at it. It is temperamental about which thread it prefers, Gutermann, and does a beautiful stitch. I use the knee lift all the time, excellent addition. I only use a few of the stitches. I freemotion sew a lot, I find it does not do that quite as nicely as my previous machine. Occasionally the auto thread cutter doesn’t cut but that isn’t too much of a problem. But have to say I have had no problem with my presser foot at all.

@FrutejuceHandmade4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I didn’t measure my elastic, I just stretched it as I went around, then joined at the end. It doesn’t take long to get used to how much the elastic needs to be stretched for your fit. If you did want to measure yours you can wrap the elastic around the area where you want your pants to be, join it, mark the four quarters of elastic and pants and attach. Home made pants are just so comfortable. Enjoy! 😊
