So Nietzsche must have misunderstood Socrates because it's not that Socrates wanted to replace reality and its problems with utopia, he wanted to get to the bottom of (or understand) the cause or source of the problems so that reality could be as it should be - problem free.

Amor a primera vista. Gracias , Gracias Gracias por este video. Raimon Panikkar sigue vivo en nuestras mentes, en nuestros corazones. Esa chispa no se apaga. Sigue VIVA.

Kinda seems like this is a "defense of nietzsche" more than "A lecture about/on nietzsche" Nietzsche : All idols are false, worshipping anyone or anything is enslaving yourself for a fake sense of security and comfort. These two: Wow, Nietzsche, you're so smart and wise! l'll make sure to read all your books and follow all your teachings! 😃

It seems your understanding of netzie needs to be revised as before saying "netzie may have been gay", you must reject his love and craze for masculinity, the honor and development of man, an ubermensch...
@dipxle71623 ай бұрын
Nietzsche already rejected traditional morality, so if you're trying to set a ground for some masculine ideal, reconsider. Ubermensch is not some 'masculine' embodiment of his ideas. It is simply an idea of his.

I was born and live in Iran. There have been lots of unwanted pains in the lives of my people. I hate to be born again because much of my life was determined by a totalitarian regime and a super religious family and culture. I think this very life is too much, let alone its repetition.

Well, if homosapiens want to be the final project of evolution, they better start working at it; because if homosapiens can't see they're on a dead run for extinction, then they're not very "sapien" after all.

So make sure in your life to never give money or your time to charities or a few bucks to those suffering on the street. Or collect a neighbor's mail while they're on vacation or stop to help an old man who's fallen on the street. Just because you can find bad motives for _ALL_ human behavior, doesn't mean there aren't good ones too. Was Nietzsche really claiming no human being should ever help another human being out? If so, we need to get word to those billionaires who give money to help charities that help feed starving children, because my God! we don't want that going on. Or how about the motives to come up with a unified theory of gravity? Surely the only reason a physicist would ever work on such a thing is to become famous and win the Nobel... So let's dismiss that too. Let's remember that this was not an exhaustive study by Nietzsche; but more a way of tickling our brain cells to get us thinking about such things.

I've gotten more pragmatic about certain philosophical questions the more I read. Or is it the older I get? Anyway, the way I think of the reality/appearance concern, is that our perceptions obviously correlate really really well with whatever the reality is that is out there. And that's probably as much any animal can expect.

Nietzsche was clearly a philosopher; he just wrote in a more engaging manner accessible to the interested layman. In contrast, I suppose, to what Nietzsche called _Dry as Dust, Kant._ It amuses me to think, Nietzsche wrestled with Kant's interminable technical style like the rest of us. The other one I like goes something like, _Hume wrote in five sentences, what Kant was able to write in a book._ Gotta love Nietzsche 😅
