We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble updating. Components is a website that communicates with our hardware using any web browser that supports the Web MIDI API. Unfortunately, there currently isn't a web browser for iPad that fully supports the Web MIDI API to enable updating our hardware using Components but we appreciate your feedback on this.

You should find that you can essentially just overwrite the existing Fixed Chord with a new one. When you enter the Fixed Chord settings, the stored chord will be erased and a new chord will need to be entered in order to use Fixed Chord again. @@NovationTV Oh silly me, I tried just holding the fixed chord, forgot I had to use shift. Another question, I can't clone patterns with the FL Key 49, only new pattern work, but cloning the selected pattern doesn't work

To clone a pattern, you should find that you can select the pattern you want to clone, hold Shift and press Clone Pattern (Preset ▼pad). Is that not the case for you?

Yes, that's correct. Chord and Scale Modes will change the note data that is being sent from FLkey. This data can be used with any plug-in. If you give us a call or use LiveChat we can help you with this today.

It's great to hear that you're considering Launchkey [Mk3]! The Cubase integration really is worth trying out. In terms of features, the only difference between Launchkey [49] and Launchkey [61] Mk3 is the number of keys to work with. If you require a larger range of notes, you might want to also check out Launchkey 88 [Mk3] which has the same features but benefits from a premium 88 note semi-weighted keyboard.

Best practices for capturing editing and preparing those samples, and then finally collating them into a custom rhythm pack. Could even give the pack from the video away on Components. Have a video link in the pack description on Components back to the KZbin video. Feels like a winner to me. :)

That's possible! As shown here, when working in Ableton Live, the Launchkey [Mk3] Drum Mode provides seamless, tactile control of the Drum Rack. When using the larger Launchkey [Mk3] controllers (25, 37, 49, 61, and 88), you can select different MIDI channels for Drum Mode and the keyboard. This means you can control a different instrument with the keys while having the pads in Drum Mode assigned to your Drum Rack 👍

Yes! Many features with SL MK3 work while Ableton is in arrangement view, what were you looking to control with in arrangement mode?

That’s right. In the v1.1.3 update released before this one, we added the ability to switch off the pads and LEDs by holding ’Shift’ and ’Settings’ together for two seconds. It’s great to hear that you find that feature useful!

If we understand what you're hoping to do correctly, yes that's possible. While in Session mode, it is possible to switch the functionality of the bottom 8 pads so that they no longer launch clips. This is done with the Stop, Solo, Mute button. Pressing the dedicated Record button triggers Session Record. This will allow you to record what you’re playing to new clips as well as overdub existing ones.

Not quite. Although AFX Mode can be used to create complex percussive sequences with melodic elements, on its own (as shown from 10:24 ), in the Introduction performance at 2:02 in the video, Bass Station II is used with Circuit which is providing the drums.

Interesting idea. Are you essentially hoping to be able to create a custom Circuit Tracks Scale Mode on the hardware? Working in Chromatic Mode will enable access to all notes, disabling any Scale Mode filtering.

Sorry you're having problems with that. Specifically which external module are you working with? What kind of issues do you encounter when editing the MIDI assignment on Impulse?

Yes. When working with Logic Pro X you can press and hold 'Shift' followed by the 'Session' pad to enter Session Mode. Here you can use the pads to access Stop, Solo and Mute controls for each track, similar to the workflow shown here. Launchkey [Mk3] can control many aspects of Logic Pro X, you just need to ensure that the dedicated script is installed first, available from the Downloads section of our website.

You should find that can be resolved by setting the button behaviour to 'Toggle' rather than 'Momentary'. If you open the Layout mode and select the button. In the Screen Control Inspector, find the Action tab and Set the behaviour to 'Toggle'.

FL Studio doesn't appear to have that feature at the moment. You may want to ask the Image-Line team about this. Whilst existing audio files can be quickly auditioned from the browser, to audition a synthesiser preset, the associated plug-in would need to be loaded and it would need to receive MIDI notes to play the preset.

That's right. Circuit Mono Station will output Control Voltage (CV) and GATE signals derived from the internal Scale settings that can be used to sequence and control your compatible eurorack modules. The CV output is scaled at 1 V per octave and the GATE output 5 V amplitude.

That really depends on the qualities of the patches in question and how you are playing the synthesiser. For example, playing chords with a Pad style preset, laden in reverb and delay and then switching to a monophonic Bass preset without any effects applied would have a very noticeable difference.

That's right. When working with Ableton Live 'Device Mode' can be used to control an Ableton Device (Ableton or 3rd-party instruments and effects) on a Live track. When Launchkey is connected to Live, the pots will automatically sync to the first device within the current Live track. This is made possible using a dedicated MIDI script that is inclued with Ableton Live.
