I could be a writer with a growing reputation,i could be the ticket man at Fulham Broadway station.Ian Dury poet, campaigner, great song writer and all round legend."It's a nice show" shouted the merchandise seller outside Sheffield City Hall the first time i saw him and he was right.👍

Classic, classic, classic from start to finish. From that lovely piano punch to the killer groove on those drums. Just listen to that snare on the end of the chorus, it fits so bloody perfectly. We don't need to talk about the bass, because that's already a cemented classic that people practice to see if they're any good on the instrument. Then the sax but then the words and the sentiment of the song. this about as good as it gets. I'm so glad I grew up listening to this shit, because it is so rich and beautiful. Ian you gave us so much.

Way back before all the new misogynistic. criminal Gangsta Rap... We had Ian Dury & the Blockheads. Funked up, eccentric feel-good & in yer face. Bloody beautiful!
