I lived only one mile away from there as the crow flies. I've spent many weeks there overtime Hunting, Fishing, Ice Skating and just hanging out during the 1970's. Many fond memories of young adult and childhood stories. I've been in the very same area where you were when you got out of the canoe. I even have a first hand account Bigfoot story.

It was a great season. The turtle and snake were in your neck of the woods. Limestone creek.

Is this the "dam" (what it looks like anyway) at the west end of the gulch?
@unknowntrail842 жыл бұрын
Entering from Kasson road not the trolly trail but the one on the right. It is actually harbor brook but most of the time it’s dry and you would never know it’s there. Same brook that goes through the mini golf in fairmont and eventually empties in Onondaga lake. (What Gultch?}
@RussellNelson2 жыл бұрын
@@unknowntrail84 It seems to be Geddes Brook, which used to run above ground in the 1800's. Likely that the quarry work opened up a path for it to run through the limestone. The dam I'm talking about is on the trolley trail (cuts right through it), and the gulch is between the quarry and Canada Hill. But the dam isn't on Geddes Brook. It's not on any waterway, which makes me suspect that it's not a dam. But if not, then what??
