Some people put a bead on top of buzz bomb another hook, anothe person ties 3, 4 inch piece of Florescent yarn on the line just alittle ahead of the buzzbomb as it rocks and spins on DESENT, THAT YARN Waves back and forth in a angled, semi vertical position, possibly giving the allusion of another bait fish following the buzz bomb bait fish . Give it a try, just a piece long enough not to tangle with rear hook.

Where is your net.? All those wild coho you dragged up on shore most likely have died from the trauma of being pulled across the rocks. I think you better find the paragraph in the regs. how to safely handle wild salmon that have to be released. I can clearly you dont have a clue.

Never take a wild fish out of the water and especially never drag one up the beach. Learn to respect the resource or stay home.

Awesome ! Just got back from a 2 week vacation in Costa Rica and can’t wait to go back ! What beautiful place ! It was our second time there and will not be our last. Thinking really seriously about retiring there. Wonderful warm people, spectacular scenery and world-class fishing; caught a 51” mahi-mahi while I was there and the boat crew made some sashimi out of it 10 minutes after landing it…just WOW ! Pura Vida !!!

You lost me at dunking your reel in the salt water and not knowing what a false albacore is. Shitty fisherman.
@andrew_forin4 ай бұрын
lol thanks man. That’s a Skipjack tho, a bit different than False Albacore. First one I ever saw in my life! It’s fun not knowing what fish you caught like that “Bearded Brotula” you thought might be a Hake. As for reels getting dunked it’s part of shore fishing. That’s why reel manufacturers make the best reels sealed. Not that reel tho… that thing was junk. Anyway I just subscribed to your channel Bryant, I’m your very first subscriber! Can’t wait to see your first video. If you ever visit the PNW you can catch a bunch of fish here and being from Colorado you’ll have no idea what half of them are called.

@@andrew_forin Well said. Probably see him casting with a flasher and trying to cut off a birds nest while his back is turned to the ocean. LOL!

Cool footage from an undercover part of the world. 5:00 get your hand off your spool, no? I don't understand what that's doing after you get adjusted. Set your drag and fight the fish. Take if from the man.
@andrew_forin4 ай бұрын
Thanks! I like to feather the reel, especially with light line and leader. You can run a looser drag and palm for instant tension. In this case I just needed to shake off the rust! My first fish since last fall. He was in control not me.

Both those fish look cool. That skinny sailfish looking one though is sick

Well, buzz bombs and zzingers in smaller sizes are very effective lures, both salt and freshwater. Rock fishing could be very fun for seasoned anglers, basically one could have decent catches with just several meters of line out and proper technic. Better luck next time.

Nice Skipjack. You should try and get a Rooster fish. They are by far my fav in terms of pound for pound fighting fish in Costa Rica

Sorry, but you are insane. No life jacket? People drove cars without seat belts. Society got wise. I most likely should have drown by falling out of my boat but a quick hand on a downrigger wire saved my life. I guess if you take the ocean as a joke you end up being another statistic.

You should either be better prepared. There is no reason that fish should have come onto that gravel beach . Equally just look at the mouth for a easy identification of chinook or coho . Just because you make a video doesn't mean you are doing things right .

You must be the coho he caught 😂bitchin on a fishing video go have fun bro
@davidkim573712 күн бұрын
@@chevyfeltz8788 Relax, he''s not wrong. It's good practice to keep the fish in the water with a net to identify. The fish is probably alright but let's respect what we catch, especially if we're releasing them back.
