So if its not dripping oil when I release the plug its too low, should I drain the old oil or just fill it up with new?

Oil needs to be measured when oil temperature is between 30 to 40 degrees centigrade. It needs to be dripping in this range of temperature. It it is not dripping when temperature is set that means it is low oil and you need refill it.

@ If you did everything according manual and you need upfil, then do it. Driving long time with low oil will make your gearbox deteriorate faster. 6HP26 is very patient thing but oil level needs to be at proper level. Oil filter is a part of sump. In some models can be separated. There is partial oil replacement and full with flushing while using service equipment.

Oil in gearbox in some auto-data is mentioned that can be lifetime but in general it is recommended to do servicing about every 100 000 km. Gearbox sump inside has a two magnets for metal particles to collect. Roughly gear switching work is a sign of deteriorated solenoid valves on mechatronics module inside gearbox

Thank you for this video. I have an Astra j, and sometimes (rarely) my clutch would stick/stuck just above halfway when it's released. i think it's happened twice in the last two years, funny enough during the winter, but would this be early signs of master/slave cylinder replacement?

In this model can be both master clutch cylinder piston on pedal and slave clutch piston inside gearbox. Inside gearbox clutch piston often has a leak. If fluid level decreases and no other leaks possible cause inside gearbox piston. Easier access and replacement for clutch pedal piston cylinder. Causes can be the same for both- weak clutch work when pedal pressed

If EGR valve is correctly remapped and valve is in closed position or pluged and removed there is no problems. Depending on remapping program there can be disturbed DPF filter regeneration. If EGR is remapped and plugged (or removed) chek for automatic DPF regeneration or initiate manual regeneration to not plug DPF.

Few questiins i didn't know about the bottom cog. Only 1 way what happens if you have it the wrong way round as i don't know what way mine is now. Would the timing cause p0016 and p0017 The engine runs fine but has this code. Coukd it just be a little out but run ok

Crank shaft tiking - 1st cylinder TDC (top dead center). Cam shafts (intake end exhaust) timing with tool, one tool part for sprockets other for camshafts. Crankshaft serpentine belt pulley can be installed in any position so for crankshaft timing position is made by TDC rule. And yes for this engine you can have slightly improper timing but engine will work and you get faults. For best fuel efficiency and thrust timing mus be proper. If you have faults like mentioned it is sign that chain can be stretched too much

Hi. You are measuring inside circuit resistance. If wires broken resistance is infinity. Best way to test is with lamp tester. In my case I installed in car and made diagnostics

There is bushing with spring. Drilled away the bussing and replaced with bolt. For wire routing drilled separate hole in case because in original it goes through the bushing. Wire is long enough so it is no problem about damage it while mirror os folding.

@BMWhale I ended up opening the unit, tested all wires on the board they all are OK. I even pulled each of them with a good tug and they are very secure. I ended up buying a new one.

@BMWhale finished my carbon clean yesterday, and I didn't like the other videos that were saying. Just jump your starter and use that to get the valves to be closed. Most engines turned clockwise, but the last thing I needed was it to be counterclockwise by not checking
