Second Verse. MANKIND, not humankind. Any females whom I know, have absolutely no problem in singing 'mankind', because they are adult and not 'woke' to realise that 'mankind' is all-encompassing. Should male Midwives be called 'Midhusbands?' Of course not! It's moronic

The lowrey organ company is a total scam. Much like every other. Flashy lights, two circuit boards and a ton of amps. The mark up is twice. I worked in a music store. When the boss was gone and we were dead, I'd open up the cabinets to see what was inside. 600 lbs of particle board and not much else. Pray you didn't have a lot of dampness in your house. The cabinet would swell and fall apart. Old people seem to love these monstrosities. Still don't know why anyone would buy one for the price of a car. Gads! A new gen keyboard is just as good and won't take a Mac truck to move.

That was beautiful. not only were you able to make it sound just like an orchestra, at times, especially from the lower register it sounded like a chorus singing in the background. Lowery organs are great. My cousins live in Chicago and they told me that the organ at Wrigley field is a Lowery and that the organist is a former Lowery salesman. My late uncle was an organist and he had a Lowery in his home. I play both piano and organ myself.

BEAUTIFUL ~ CAT STEVANS (YUSSUF)
@mylist4039 Жыл бұрын
It is a Christian hymn first published in 1931 by Eleanor Farjeon. It is set to the Scottish Gaelic tune, "Bunessan". Cat Stevens sang a beautiful version of this hymn in 1971. It was included in his album "Teaser and the Firecat", and became quite popular.

@@mylist4039 Cat Stevens version pales next to that of Mary Hopkin .. a live version from 1972 is on KZbin . She states she sang the song while in infant school

He found the music industry highly stressful, due to pressures from the money men to make money by driving the stars till the pips squeak. Maybe Islam seemed a good way out from that health and sanity overstressing, since he could then hide behind the "my religion says music is haram" idea, that the purist muslims hold to, and indeed neglected his God-given talents in music for decades. I think he may actually be coming to christianity though now from some recent behaviours ... his family are Greek Orthodox.

My mom and dad got me my first drum kit when I was six years old. I've been playing for 57 years, and in all those years I'm only now able to distance my feet from my hands. Now I have to learn how to distance my feet and hands from each other. THEN I'll be ready to play in public. Maybe you have some pointers?

The organ solos, the piano solo, the vocal and violin duets were so lovely. Thank you, Vincent Craig and your wonderful family! Your dad was a fixture at Christ Church and I fondly remember our many conversations. May he rest in eternal peace.

No. This image is from my collection of organs that I have worked on. I think this is from a church in Brooklyn if memory serves correctly - but I have a lot of pictures that look like that, including those that people send me, so I could be wrong...
