Mate, solo at that spot with huge swell/waves, you’ve got massive balls hahaha! Subbed, see yah on the ledge mate, hopefully in safer conditions haha
@meskell.as.anything6669 Жыл бұрын
Cheers legend! I’ve moved up the coast so you won’t see me unless I do a trip down… you’ll probably bump into Bugsy who fishes there a lot if you get there. Have fun mate be safe and check conditions anything over 1.6m swell is sketchy. Low tide obviously Safest option

Should I get spartan 2-4 Pe or PE 4-6?I want to use it for mainly big tuna and kings off the rocks.
@meskell.as.anything66692 жыл бұрын
Hey Josh the PE 2-4 is good for fish up to 6kgs, PE 4/6 good for up to 10-12kg fish. So really comes down to what exactly your targeting and wether you want to have power over the fish or like a challenge by going lighter. Also conditions and the particular ledge your fishing play a part also. Spartan are a great choice. I’ve got the PE 5/8 which I use for big kings, it’s a shorter rod but gives better control then longer rods.

@meskell.as.anything66692 жыл бұрын
I’ve never fished in long pants not sure why I was doing that but it’ll be the last time. I’ve fished before in a full wetsuit when it was freezing and the swell was big but has to be pretty cold other wise you sweat 😓 Yeah the wettie pants is a good Idea 👍

Do you ever fish off the rocks within the harbour? How achievable is getting legal Kings inside the harbour landbased?
@meskell.as.anything66692 жыл бұрын
Hey Timmy follow some instagram pages like Sydney fishing report or Facebook groups Sydney land based fishing or kingfish Sydney. People are catching solid kings quite often in the harbour. Still gotta put the work in tho!
@timmytwinkletoes22032 жыл бұрын
What safety gear do you take on the yak? and what did you mean by surrounded by swimmers, do people swim that far in the harbour?
@meskell.as.anything66692 жыл бұрын
Hey Timmy, I always wear a inflatable life jacket and always have my phone with me and my Apple Watch can send for help if I get stuck. Usually I’m out with a mate who can help if needed. I also carry rope incase I need to be towed back to shore. I’m actually fishing the eastern suburbs so not inside the Sydney harbour
